1955-3035WHEREAS, Section 465, Subdivision "B," of the
California Vehicle) Code provides that local authorities in
their respective jurisdiction shall have authority to place
and maintain, or cause to be Placed and maintained, such
traffic signs as may be necessary to indicate and to carry
out the provisions of the California Vehicle Code and local
traffic ordinances, or to regulate, warn or guide traffic;
and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Municipal Code, Section 3213,
provides that the City Council shall, by resolution, de-
termine and designate the character of all official warning
and direction signs and signals; and
WHEREAS, the Cit& Council finds that to eliminate
traffic hazards and promote the safety and welfare of
citizens and residents of the City of Anaheim, boulevard
stop signs should be established and maintained at the fol-
lowing locations in the City of Anaheim:
On Loara Street at North Street southeast corner;
On Loara Street at Claredge Drive southeast
corner;
On North Street at Loara Street northeast corner;
On Claredge Drive at Loara Street northeast
corner,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the Chief of Police be, and he is
hereby, authorized and directed to Place and maintain boule-
vard stop signs at the locations hereinabove set forth; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the stop signs so es-
tablished and maintained shall conform to the regulations of
the California Vehicle Code as to size and design,
