CITY OF ANAHEIM (SEAL) RESOLUTION NO. 3029 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM CAUSING A RECORD OF CANVASS OF RETURNS OF SPECIAL ELECTION TO BE ENTERED UPON ITS MINUTES. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim has canvassed the returns of a certain special annexation election held on the 6th day of December, 1955 in certain unincorporated territory sought to be annexed to said City of Anaheim; and WHEREAS, said City Council has caused a record to be made of the canvass of returns of said election, which record is entitled, "RECORD OF CANVASS OF RETURNS OF SPECIAL ANNEXATION ELECTION HELD DECEMBER 6, 1955." NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that said record of canvass of returns of said election be, and the same is hereby ordered, entered upon the minutes of said City Council. Said special annexation election was held on the 6th day of December, 1955, in the manner provided by law. That for said election said City Council duly established one voting precinct which was designated as the SOUTH ANAHEIM ANNEXATION VOTING PRECINCT. That the polling place for such election was established and maintained at Katella School, 11952 Katella Road, Orange County, Anaheim, California, which was within the hereinafter described unincorporated territory. The description of the property proposed to be included in the annexa- tion known as the SOUTH ANAHEIM ANNEXATION is as follows: A parcel of land being a portion of Sections 21, 22, 27 and 28 Township 4 South, Range 10 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian and more particularly described as follows: Beginning at an angle point in the existing Anaheim City Limits line as established by the Disneyland Annexation to the City of Anaheim, Annexation No. 48 as passed by Ordinance No. 932 on Oct. 13, 1954 and filed with the Secretary of State on December 30, 1954, said point also being the point of intersection of a line parallel to and 40.00 feet northerly as measured at right angles, from the south line of said Section 21 (said south line also being the centerline of Katella Avenue), and a line parallel to and 30.00 feet easterly, as measured at right angles from the west line of said Section 21 (said west line also being the centerline of Euclid Avenue); thence, 1. Southerly 40 feet, more or less, along said line parallel to west line of Section 21 to a point in the south line of said Section 21; thence, 2. Continuing southerly 990 feet, more or less, along a line parallel to and 30.00 feet easterly, as measured at right angles from west line of said Section 28 to a point on the westerly extension of the north line of Tract 1475 as shown on a map thereof, recorded in Book 68 at Pages 30, 31, and 32 of Miscel- laneous Maps, Records of Orange County; thence, 3. Continuing northerly 40 feet, more or less, along a line parallel to and 30 feet, westerly as measured at right angles from the east line of Section 22 to a point on the south City Limits line of the City of Anaheim as established in the previously described Disneyland Annexation; thence, 22. Westerly 9550 feet, more or less, along said existing Anaheim City Limits line and also along a line parallel to and 40.00 feet northerly as measured at right angles from said centerline of Katella Avenue, to a point in the westerly line of Lot 8 of Block 17 of the Fairview Colony Tract as shown on a map thereof in Book 1 at Page 33 of Miscellaneous Record Maps, Records of Orange County; thence, -2- 23. Northerly 620 feet, more or less, along said existing Anaheim City Limits line and also along said westerly line of Lot 8 to the most northwesterly corner of said Lot 8; thence, 24. Westerly 1320 feet, more or less, along said existing Anaheim City Limits line and also along northerly line of Lots 6 and 7 of said Block 17 to the most northeasterly corner of Lot 5 of said Block 17; thence, 25. Southerly 620 feet, more or less, along said existing Anaheim City Limits line and also along easterly line of said Lot 5 to a point in a line parallel to and 40.00 feet northerly, as measured at right angles, from said centerline of Katella Avenue; thence, 26. Westerly 630 feet, more or less, along said existing Anaheim City Limits line and also along said line parallel to centerline of Katella Avenue to the point of beginning. That the proposition submitted to the electors residing within said unincorporated territory was: Shall SOUTH ANAHEIM ANNEXATION be annexed to the City of Anaheim, California, and the property in YES said SOUTH ANAHEIM ANNEXATION be, after such annexation, subject to taxation equally with the property within said City of Anaheim to pay its pro rata portion, based upon assessed valuation, of all bonded indebtedness of said City of NO Anaheim outstanding on November 3, 1955, or thereto— fore authorized? That said City Council met at its regular meeting after the expiration of three days from and after the date of said election to canvass the returns of said election, and at said regular meeting did make and complete its canvass of such returns. That from and by its canvass of such returns, said City Council finds: 1. That the whole number of votes cast at such election was 105. 2. That the number of votes cast at such election in favor of annexa— tion was 83. 3. That the number of votes cast at such election against annexation was 22. 4.
