ANAHEU1 FINDING AND DETERMINING 'IHAT PUBLIC CON-
VENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUCTION
AND COMPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVEliENT, TO WIT:
CONSTRUCTION OF AN 18-INCH STE;EL CYLINDER CON-

THEREOF; AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID
PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITd SAID PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, ETC.; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECT-
ING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE INVITING
SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF.
WHEREAS I public convenienoe and neoessity require the
construction and completion of a public improvement in the City
of Anaheim, to wit:
The oonstruction, installation and completion of
an eighteen (18) inch steel cylinder ooncrete water
line, with valves, fittings and all appurtenances,
along La Palma Avenue, from Placentia Avenue to
Sunkist street, and along Sunkist street from La
Palma Avenue to the Anaheim-Olive Road, vlork Order
No. 1353,
AND WHEREAS, the City Counoil instruoted George E.

plans, pro es, raw ngs and specifioations, and estimates of
quantities and costs~ and make neoessary surveys for the construo-
tion of said public improvement; and
WHEREAS, said Ci tv ~llil"ineecf has prepared said detailed
designsl plans, profiles, draw ngs an speoifications for the con-
struction of said public improvement and has submitted the same to
the City Counc ill and
WHEREAS, the City Counoil finds that the detailed de-
signs, plans, profilesl drawings and speoifications for said public
improvement above mentioned are in acoordanoe with good engineering
practice and are adequate to serve the needs and requirements of
the City of Anaheim and the citizens and residents in said area for
the purposes for which they are intended, and that they are ade-
quate for the construction of said public improvement and should
be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that the detailed designs, plansl profiles, draw-
ings and specifications for said public improvement hereinabove
mentioned and described be, and the same are hereby, approved and
adopted as prepared by said City Engineer .
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said publio improvement
shall be construoted in aocordanoe with said detailed designs,
plans, profiles, drawings and specifications as prepared by said

modi icat ons thereto as may be appro ved prior to the awarding of
bids therefor.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City
of Anaheim be, and she is her eby, authorized an d direoted to
publish a notioe aocording to law, inviting sealed proposals for
the furnishing of all plant, labor, servioes, materials and equip-
ment, ~~d all utilities and transportation, including power, fuel
and water, and performing all work necessary to construct and oom-
plete in a good and workmanlike manner, in str jet accordance with
said detailed designs, plan$, profil~s, draWings and specifica-
tions as prepared by said Cily Engl~er , the publio improve-
ment herei nabc.ve men tioned an descri ed, and fixing the 24th
day of _J.2!:il , 1956 , at the hour of 7:00 o'olook P.M.
as the c.ate LJ>'::' hour for tneopening of said bids at the City
Counoil Ch8'11:'" ;3 in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim, and
that said Y':';e shall be published tWioe, the first of whioh
publications ;~;isll be at least ten (10) days prior to the date
fixed for thB;e:~=,g of bids, and that said publications shall

AND DE If FURTHER R~SOLVED that the sucoessfUl bidder
