A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIH FINDING AND DETERMINING '!HAT PUBL IC CON-
VENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUCTION
AND COMPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVn1ENT, TO WIT:

AND APPROVING THE DES[ GNS, PLANS, PROFILES, DRAW-
INGS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
THEREOF; AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID
PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SAID PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, ETC.; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECT-
ING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE INVITING
SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF.
WHEREAS, public oonvenienoe and neoessity require the
construotion and oompletion of a publio improvement in the City
of Anaheim, to wit:
The improvement of the first alley south of Center
Street, between Olive street and Melrose street,
by excavation, removal of existing concrete and
conRtruction of a 20-fcot strip of 6-inoh Portland
Cement Concrete, and appurtenant work, as indioated
on the plans, Job No. 111.
AND WHEREAS, the City Council instruoted George E.
Holyoke. ~!ty E~ineer to prepare detailed designs,
plansJ prof es, rawings and specifications, and estimates of
quantities and costs,. and make necessary surveys for the construo-
tion of said public improvement; and
WHEREAS, said c~ty ~~inee~ has prepared said detailed
designs, plans, prOfiles, rawings an speoifications for the oon-
struction of said public improvement and has submitted the same to
the City Counoil; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the detailed de-
signs, plans, profiles, drawings and speoifioations for said public
improvemrot above mentioned are in accordanoe with good engineering
practice and are adequate to serve the needs and requirements of
the City of Anaheim and the citizens and residents in said area for
the purposes for which they are intended, and that they are ade-
quate for the construction of said public improvement and should
be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Counoil of the
City of Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans, profiles, draw-
ings and speoifications for said public improvement hereinabove
mentioned and desoribed be, and the same are hereby, approved and
adopted as prepared by said City Envineer .
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said public improvement
shall be construoted in accordanoe with said detailed designs,
plans, profiles, drawings and speoifioations as prepared by said
~ F.n!ineer and hereby approved, and suoh addenda or
mooII'lcat ons thereto as may be approved prior to the awarding of
bids therefor.
