A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIH FINDING AND DETERMINING '!HAT PUBLIC CON-
VENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUCTION
AND COMPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVlllENT, TO WIT:

THEREOF; AU'IROREING THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID
PUBLIC IM~RaVll1ENT IN ACCOP~ANCE WITH SAID PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, ETC.; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECT-
ING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE INVITING
SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF.
WHEREAS, public oonvenience and neoessity require the
construction and completion of a publio improvement in the City
of Anaheim, to wit:
The improvellient of North Olive street, from
La Palma Avenue to Commer'cial Street, by
excavation, paving with 4-inch plant-mix
surfacing, adjusting existing manholes to
~'rade, and apDurtenant work, as indicated
on the plans, Project No. 54.
AND WHEREAS, the City Counoil instructed ~~r~! E.

plans; pro 1 es, raw ngs and specifications, and estimates of
quantities and costs~ and make neoessary surveys for the construo-
tion of said public improvement; and
~MEREAS, said City Engineer has prepared said detailed
designs, plans, profiles, drawings and speoifications for the con-
struction of said PQblic improvement and has submitted the same to
the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Counoil finds that the detailed de-
signs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications for said publiC
improvemE!1t above mentioned are in acoordanoe with good engineering
practice and are adequate to serve the needs and requirements of
the City o~ Anaheim and the citizens and residents in said area for
th e purpose s for whieh they are intended, and that they are ade-
quate for the construction of said public improvement and should
be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans, profiles, draw-
ings and specifioations for said public improvement hereinabove
mentioned and described be, and the same are hereby, approved and
adopted as prepared by said City En~ineer .
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said publio improvement
shall be construoted in accordanoe with said detailed designs,
plans, profiles, drawings and speoifications as prepared by said
C~fi E:tineer and hereby approved, and such addenda or
mo ioa ions thereto as may be approved prior to the awarding of
bids therefor.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City
of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized and direoted to
publish a notice according to law, inviting sealed proposals for
the furnishing of all plant, labor, servioes, materials and equip-
ment, a~d all utilities and transportation, inoluding power, fuel
and water, and performing all work necessary to construct and oom-
plete in a good and workmanlike manner, in str1ct accordanoe with
said detailed designs, plans, prOfiles, drawings and specifioa-
tiorJS 8.3 prepared by said Ci tv Em:ineer , the publio improve-
ment herei nabcve men tioned and desorib.ed, and fixing the 24th
day of -ADrll , 195.6 , at the hour ot 7:00 o'olook P.M.
as the ('.2te1:':::~ hour for tneopening of said bids at the City
Council Ch1.''11~)'~ s in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim, and
that said!";: ':.e shall be published twioe, the first of whioh
publications :;t:::ll be at least ten (10) days prior to the date
