A RESOLUTION OP THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM DETERMINING THE NECESSITY FOR,
AND DIRECTING THE ACO ISITION BY EMINENT
DOMAIN OF, REAL PROPERTY FOR THE PUBLIC PARK-
ING OF MOTOR VEIICLES.
WHEREAS, public convenience and necessity require
the construction, completion and maintenance of a public
improvement within the City of Anaheim, to wit: A public
parking lot for the parking of motor vehicles; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine
that public interest and necessity require the acquisition
of all that certain real property herein descrilz'ed by the
City of Anaheim for the construction, improvement and mainte-
nance as a public parking lot or area for the parking of
motor vehicles;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLV=ED that public interest
and necessity require the acquisition of that certain real
property situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange,
State of California, more particularly described as follows,
to wit:
The south rectangular 75 feet of Lot 25,
Vineyard Lot E5, in the City of Anaheim,
County of Orange, State of California, as
per map recorded in Book 1, Pages 550 and
551 of Miscellaneous Records of Los
Angeles County, California.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does
hereby find and determine that public interest and necessity
require the acquisition of said land by the City of Anaheim
for the construction, completion and maintenance of the
aforesaid project, and that the taking of the property here
inabove described is necessary therefor, and that the use
to which it is to be applied is a use authorized by law, and
the taking of said property is necessary to such use.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY AUTHORIZED that said
property be acquired by the City of Anaheim, and the City
Attorney of the City of Anaheim is hereby directed to insti-
tute an action in eminent domain for the acquisition of the
title to said property, and to perform and carry out all of
the necessary proceedings and steps incident to the acquisi-
tion of the title to said property and to obtaining possession
thereof.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 1st day of November, 1955.
