A RESOLUTION OF THE CI'rY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM REQUESTING 'rHE DISTRICT ATTORNEY
Al'iJ"D THE GRAND JURY OF ORANGE COUNTY TO IN-
VESTIGATE COMPLAINTS RELATIVE TO THE SALE OF
TRACT AND SUBDIVISION HOUSES IN THE CITY AND
COUNTY.
WHEREAS, oomplaints have been made to the City
Council by the purchasers of homes in tracts and subdivisions
within the City of Anaheim that the facts as to taxes, pay-
ments on loans and other matters relating to said homes have
been misrepresented to them, and that they have been imposed
upon; and
WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council that said
complaints should be investigated and suoh action taken as
may be authorized under the laws of the State of California.
NOW, TIIEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Counoil
of the City of Anaheim that the District Attorney, and the
Grand Jury of Orange County, be, and they are hereby, re-
quested to investigate complaints of purchasers, veterans and
property owners of tract and subdivision houses and homes,
within the City of Anaheim and the County of Orange, to ascer-
tain if misrepresentation of facts has been made, or fraud
committed in the sale of said houses, and to ascertain if the
laws of the State of California have been violated, and to
take such action as may be deemed neoessary and proper after
such investigation has been made.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be,
and she is hereby, authorized and direoted to forward a
certified copy of this resolution to Mr. Robert P. Kneeland,
District Attorney of Orange County, California, and a certi-
fied copy thereof' to the Orange County Grand Jury.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 3rd day of April, 1956.
