BRILEY AND E. A. SLAGLE, DBA YELLOW CAB LeRVICE
OF AAAHEIM AND CITY CAB COMPANY, F0E TAXI
SLLVICE IN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, C. L. Briley and E. A. Slagle, doing busi-
ness under the firm name and style of Yellow Cab Service of
Anaheim and City Cab Company, did on the llth day of October,
1955 file an application for an increase in rates for taxi
service in the City of Anaheim; and
WHLRLAS, the 25th day of October, 1955 was fixed
for a public hearing upon said application, at the hour of
7:00 o'clock P.N., in the City ColIncil Chambers in the City
Hall, in the City of Anaheim, and the City Clerk did there-
upon give the applicants at least ten (10) days' written
notice of the time and place of such hearing; and
HR-AS, said application came on regularly for
hearing before the City Council at a regular meeting on said
date and was duly considered, and the City Council does find
and determine that since the present rates were fixed the
boundaries of the City of Anaheim have been greatly extended
and that said applicants are required to serve a much greater
area than was required when the present rates were fixed, and
that the application for an increase in the rates is reason-
able and should be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the application of said C. E.
Briley and E. A. Slagle for a new rate schedule as follows,
to wit:
40/ for the flag drop, and the first mile;
10/ for each additional 1/4 mile;
m per hour waiting time,
be and the same is hereby approved and granted; and that said
rates shall apply to all taxicabs operated by said applicants.
That said rates shall be, and remain, in full force and effect
until the further order of the City Council,
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by
me this 25th day of October, 1955.
