1955-2965RESOLUTION NO. 2965 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE GRANTING OF AN EASEMENT TO SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON COMPANY FOR A SUBSTATION, AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECU- TION OF SAID GRANT OF EASEMENT. WHEREAS, the Southern California Edison Company has requested authority for the right to construct, main- tain and operate an electric substation in, on, under and over the real property hereinafter described; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the granting of such right or easement in, on, under and over the here- inafter described property for the construction, maintenance and operation of an electric substation for transmitting, transforming and controlling electric energy to be used for light, heat, power, communication and /or other purposes will not interfere with any other contemplated public use of said property. NOW, THEREFOEE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that there be, and there is hereby, granted to Southern California Edison Company, a California corporation, its successors and assigns, the right to con- struct, use, maintain, alter, add to, repair, replace, in- spect and /or remove, in, on, under and over the real property hereinafter described, situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, buildings, structures, poles, towers, wires, cables, transformers, concrete pads, fences, driveways, oil storage tanks, racks, switches and other fixtures, appliances and property, both overhead and underground, which said Southern California Edison Company, its successors or assigns, may find necessary or convenient for or in connection with the construction, maintenance and operation of an electric substation for transmitting, trans- forming and controlling electric energy to be used for light, heat, power, communication and /or other purposes. Said real property hereinabove referred to is described as fol- lows: That portion of Vineyard Lot G -3 as shown on a map recorded in Book 4, pages 629 and 630, of Deeds, in the Office of the County Recorder of the County of Los Angeles, State of California, described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the Northerly line of Tract No. 497, as per map recorded in Book 17, page 38, of Miscellaneous Maps, in the Office of the County Recorder of the County of Orange, State of California, with the West line of South Claudina Street, as shown on the map of said Tract No. 497; thence Northerly along the prolongation of said Westerly line, 130 feet; thence Westerly parallel with said Northerly line, 110 feet; thence Southerly parallel with said Northerly prolongation 130 feet to the Northerly line of said Tract; thence Easterly along said Northerly line, 110 feet to the point of beginning. -1- AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Southern California Edison Company, its successors and assigns, and its and their agents and employees, shall have the right to trim, top or remove such trees or shrubs as may endanger or interfere with Southern California Edison Company's use of said above de- scribed real property for the purposes aforesaid, and shall have free and unrestricted access at all times to said real property and every portion thereof, over adjoining property of the City of Anaheim, if necessary, for the purpose of exercising the rights herein granted. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in the event Southern California Edison Company shall permanently abandon or dis- continue the use of said electric substation, said Southern California Edison Company shall, upon the written request of the City of Anaheim, execute and deliver to the City a quit- claim of the rights herein granted, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized to execute a Grant of Easement to carry out the purposes of this resolution and to complete the granting of said easement to the Southern California Edison Company.
