1955-2950RESOLUTION NO. 2950 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM TERMINATING ALL PROCEEDINGS FOR THE AN- NEXATION OF THAT CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DESCRIBED AS THE LINCOLN -DALE ANNEXATION. WHEREAS, heretofore, to -wit, on the 28th day of June, 1955, the City Council did receive a written request from the proponents of the Lincoln -Dale Annexation requesting consent to commence proceedings for the annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim, more particularly described and set forth in said written request on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim, and WHEREAS, the City Council did thereupon refer said request to the City Planning Commission for a recommendation and report, and WHEREAS, on the 5th day of July, 1955 the City Planning Commission did act upon said request and did thereupon recommend to the City Council that the proposed Lincoln -Dale Annexation be considered for annexation to the City of Anaheim, and WHEREAS, on the 12th day of July, 1955, the City Council did adopt Resolution No. 2845 consenting to the commencement of proceedings for the annexation of said inhabited territory to the City of Anaheim, and, WHEREAS, on the 23rd day of July, 1955, the proponents requesting said annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim did publish a Notice of Intention to Circulate a petition for the annexation thereof to said City in the Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper printed and published in the City of Anaheim, and WHEREAS, on the 26th day of July, 1955, the City Council did adopt Resolution No. 2871 acknowledging receipt of a copy of the Notice of Intention to Circulate a petition for the Annexation of said territory described in said notice to the City of Anaheim, and WHEREAS, on the 12th day of September, 1955, the City Council did receive in the Office of the City Clerk a petition for the annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim, which said territory is more particularly described as set forth in said Lincoln -Dale Annexation on file in the office of the City Clerk, and WHEREAS, no date has been set by the City Council for the hearing of protests to the annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim, and WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that it would be to the advantage of the City of Anaheim and for the best interests of the electors and property owners within the territory designated as the Lincoln Dale Annexation that said annexation proceedings be terminated. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that all proceedings for the annexation of that certain territory known and designated as the Lincoln -Dale Annexation to the City of Anaehim be, and the same are hereby terminated.
