A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PUBLIC CON-
VENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUCTION
AND COMPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT, TO WIT:
CONSTRUCTION OF A SEOP AAD GARAG E AT THE CITY
YARD ON CLAUDINA STA -L-;T IN ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA,
JOB NO. 367,, UNIT T B,_„ rT S PECIAL IMP OVEMENT
FUND
AND APPROVING THE DESIGNS, PLANS, PROFILES, DRAW-
INGS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
THEREOF; AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID
PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SAID PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, ETC.; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECT-
ING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE INVITING
SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF; AND
RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 2920,
WHEREAS, public convenience and necessity require the
construction and completion of a public improvement in the City
of Anaheim, to wit:
The construction and completion of a shop and
,arage at the City Yard on Claudina Street in
Anaheim, California, including all appurtenant
work, Job No. 367, Unit B," Special Improve-
ment Fund.
AND WHEREAS, the City Council instructed ROWLAND ASSOCIATES,
D. Easton Herrald Architect to prepare detailed designs,
plans, profiles, drawings and specifications, and estimates of
quantities and costs, and make necessary surveys for the construc-
tion of said public improvement; and
WHEREAS, said Architect has prepared said detailed
designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications for the con-
struction of said public improvement and has submitted the same to
the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the detailed de-
signs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications for said public
improvement above mentioned are in accordance with good engineering
practice and are adequate to serve the needs and requirements of
the City of Anaheim and the citizens and residents in said area for
the purposes for which they are intended, and that they are ade-
quate for the construction of said public improvement and should
be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans, profiles, draw-
ings and specifications for said public improvement hereinabove
mentioned and described be, and the same are hereby, approved and
adopted as prepared by said Architect
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said public improvement
shall be constructed in accordance with said detailed designs,
plans, profiles, drawings and specifications as prepared by said
Architect and hereby approved, and such addenda or
modifications thereto as may be approved prior to the awarding of
bids therefor,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City
of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed to
publish a notice according to law, inviting sealed proposals for
the furnishing of all plant, labor, services, materials and equip-
ment, and all utilities and transportation, including power, fuel
and water, and performing all work necessary to construct and com-
plete in a. good and workmanlike manner,, in strict accordance with
said detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifica-
tions as prepared by said Architect the public improve-
ment hereinabove mentioned and described, and fixing the llth
day of October 195_, at the hour of 7:00 o'clock P.M.
as the Cate And hour for the opening of said bids at the City
Council Chanlb= s in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim, and
that said ,e tall be published twice, the first of which
publications C:ts.11 be at least ten (10) days prior to the date
fixed for the c :;a7I ng of bids, and that said publications shall
be at least f ive days apart,
AND PE T., FURTHER RESOLVED that the successful bidder
or bidders r Ti be required to enter into a contract with the

tioned and described, in accordance with the plans and specifica-

Ordinances or Code Sections and the laws of the State of Cali
fJr:,ia, and shall be required to post bonds and insurance in the
amounts and within the time required by law, as specified in the
notice inviting sealed proposals, and in a form approved by the
City Attorney.

Van Wagoner.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None.
AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor of the City of Anaheim
approved and signed said resolution on the 27th day of September, 1955.
