A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING TEE PURCHASE AND
ACQUISITION OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY FOR
PUBLIC PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, Nutwood Properties, Inc. ;4 is the owner
of that certain parcel of real property situated in the City
of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, described
as follows, to wit:
The Southeast quarter of the Northeast quarter of
the Southwest quarter of Section 17, Township 4
South, Range 10 West, San Bernardino Base and
Meridian.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM all that portion of said land
described as follows: Commencinv at the center
of said Section 17; thence South 0° 20' 16 West
662.07 feet along the East line of the Southwest
quarter of said Section 17, said East line being
also the center line of Nutwood Street, to the
Northeast corner of the Southeast quarter of the
Northeast quarter of the Southwest quarter of
said Section 17, said point being the true point
of beginning; thence continuing South 0° 20' 16
West 368.27 feet to the Northeast corner of the
South 42 acres of the Southeast quarter of the
Northeast quarter of the Southwest quarter of
said Section 17; thence South 89° 58 12 West
1 feet along the North line of said South
4 acres to the Southwest corner of land de-
scribed in deed to Emogene Stracner, a married
woman, recorded January 26th, 1955 in Book 2936,
Page 531 of Official Records; thence North 0° 20'
16" East 169.00 feet; thence South 89° 58' 12
West 26.00 feet; thence North 0° 20 16 East
199.15 feet to the Northerly line of the So}_u,th-
east quarter of the Northeast quarter of the
Southwest quarter of said Section 17; thence
North 89° 551 21" East 176.00 feet to the point
of beginning.
AND WHEREAS, 5 acres of said parcel of land is
needed by the City of Anaheim for use as a playground and
recreational area, and the balance thereof, or 3.746 acres,
is considered necessary by the Anaheim School District for
a new school site; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim finds it necessary
and desirable, in order to facilitate the purchase of said
property, to purchase said property jointly with said School
District, taking title to an undivided 5/8.746 interest
therein, and with title to an undivided 3.746/8.746 interest
therein in said School District, the City of Anaheim and said
School District having heretofore agreed to enter into a par-
tition agreement at a later date by which said property will
be converted into estates of severalty by dividing the same
according to their respective interests therein; and
WHEREAS, Nutwood Properties, Inc. ;'r has offered
to sell, transfer and convey said parcel of land to the City
of Anaheim and the Anaheim School District in consideration
of the sum of `;'52,476.00 in cash, the City's share for an
