1955-2899RESOLUTION NO. 2899 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM GRANTING A SPECIAL USE PE= FOR LIE CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE OF A air -BED CONVALESCENT HOSPITAL AT 1514' EAST CENTER STREET IN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM. WHEREAS, on or about the 27th day of Juno, 1955, the City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim did receive an application from William J. Wesolek, 124 East Center Street, Anaheim, California, for a Special Use Permit to erect and operate a 34 -bed convalescent hospital on the following de- scribed property: The north 264 feet of the westerly half of the northerly half of the easterly half of Lot 9 of Anaheim -Jxtension, in the City of Anaheim, as shown on a raap thereof made by Willi rr Hamel on file in Los Angeles County, California; EXCEPTING THEREFROM the west 165 feet. (Said property is also designated as 1514 East Center Street.) AND WHEREAS, said Planning Commission did thereupon give le notice that it would hold a public hearing in the Council Chambers of the City Hall in the City of Anaheim on Monday, July 18, 1955, at the hour of 2:00 o t clock to review said application for said proposed use, and notifying all interested persons to at,end said nearing and express opinions for or against the granting of said Special Use Per- mit, and did cause said notice to be published on July 9, 1955, and did cause notice thereof to be given by mailing a postal card notice not less than ten days prior to the date of such hearing to the owners of property within a radius of 300 feet of the exterior boundaries of the property for which such Special Use Permit was requested, using for that Purpose the last known name and address of such owners as shown upon the assessment roll of Orange County, which said postal card did contain information as to the time and place where said hearing would be held and the purpose of said hearing, and notifying all persons int:resed therein to appear and express opinions either for or against the granting of said Special Use Permit; and tiIL REAS, on said 18th day of July, 1955, the City Planning Commission did hold and conduct a public hearing upon said application for said Special Use Permit and did receive evidence and reports from all Persons who appeared at said hearing and offered evidence or expressed opinions; and said Planning Commission did thereupon adopt its Resolution No. 6 Series 1955 -56, recommending to the City Council of the City of Anaheim that a Special Use Permit be granted subject to: 1. The erection of a building in accordance with plans presented. 2. The providing of off street parking as shown on the plans. -1- AND WHEREAS, the City Council finds, after careful consideration of the recommendations of the City Planning Commission, that said Special Use Permit should be granted upon the conditions set forth in said Planning Commission Resolution No. 6 Series 1955 -56, and upon the further con- dition that a strip of land ten feet in depth along Center Street be deeded to the City of Anaheim for street widening purposes. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that a Special Use Permit be, and the same is hereby, granted to WILLIAM J. WESOLEK, 1214. East Center Street, Anaheim, California, for the construction and operation of a 34-bed convalescent hospital on the property hereinabove described, upon the following conditions: 1. That the building to be erected on subject property be constructed in accordance with the plans submitted to the City of Anaheim. That off- street parking be provided as shown on said plans. 3. That a strip of land ten (10) feet in depth along Center Street be deeded to the City of Anaheim for street widening purposes. The City Council hereby reserves the right to revoke such Special Use Permit for good cause or failure of said owner, or his heirs, successors or assigns to comply with the Anaheim Municipal Code and regulations, and the conditions herein.
