A RESOLi1TION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM DISAPPROVING THE ACTION OF THE
CITY PLANNING C0I1i41SSION GRANTING VARIANCE NO.
364, AND DENYING SAID APPLICATION.
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim did receive a petition from the property owner and /or
agent of certain real property situated in the City of Anaheim,
County of Orange, State of California, described as follows:
PARCEL 1:
The Southerly 65 feet of the following described property
situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State
of California, described as follows:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of Vineyard Lot "Al,"
in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of
California, as per map thereof recorded in Book 4, at
pages 629 and 630 of Deeds, records of Los Angeles County,
California, running thence Westerly along the South line
of said Vineyard Lot "Al," 374 feet; thence Northerly
parallel with East Street, 230.75 feet; thence Easterly
parallel with said South line of said lot, 374 feet to the
Westerly line of East Street; and thence Southerly along
said Westerly line of East Street to the point of begin-
ning.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM the Westerly 140 feet.
PARCEL 2:
Ali that real property in the City of Anaheim, County of
Orange, State of California, described as follows:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of Vineyard Lot "Al,"
as per map of Anaheim recorded in Book 4, pages 629 and
630 of Deeds, records of Los Angeles County, California;
and running thence Westerly along the Southerly line of
said Vineyard Lot "Al," 374 feet; thence Southerly on a
line parallel with East Street 8 -1/4 feet; thence Easterly
on a line parallel with said Southerly line of said Vine-
yard Lot, 3 �4 feet to the Westerly line of East Street
and thence Northerly to the point of beginning.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM the Westerly 140 feet.
PARCEL 3:
The following described property situated in the City of
xnaheim, County of Oran ;e, State of California, described
as follows:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of Vineyard Lot "Al" as
shown on a map recorded in Book 4, at pages 629 and 630
of Deeds, records of Los Angeles County, California; run-
ning thence Westerly along the South line of said Vineyard
Lot "Al," a distance of 374 feet; thence Northerly and
parallel with East Street; a distance of 230.75 feet to a
point; thence Easterly and parallel with said South line
of said lot a distance of 374 feet to the Westerly line of
East Street; and thence Southerly along said Westerly line
of East Street to the point of beginning.

EXCEPTING THEREFROM the Southerly 65 feet and the
Northerly 100 feet thereof.
ALSO EXCEPTING THEREFROM the Westerly 140 feet.
PARCEL 4:
The Westerly 140 feet of the following described fr operty
Beginning at the Southeast corner of Vineyard Lot "Al" as
shown on a map recorded in Book 4, at pages 629 and 630
of Deeds, records of Los Angeles County, California; run-
ning thence Westerly along the South line of said Vineyard
Lot "Al," a dista- ce of 3 �4 feet; thence Northerly and
parallel with East Street, a distance of 230.75 feet to
a point; thence Easterly and parallel with said South
line of said lot a distance of 374 feet to the Westerly
line of East Street; and thence Southerly along said
Westerly line of East Street to the point of beginning.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM the Southerly 111.75 feet and the
Northerly 100 feet thereof.
(Said property is located at the Northwest corner of
East Wilhelmina Street and North East Street.)
AND WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a public
hearing at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim on May 31, 1955,
notices of which said public hearing were duly given as required
by law and the provisions of Section 9200.17 of the Anaheim
Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, said City Planning Commission, after due in-
spection, investigation and studies made by itself and in its
behalf, and after due consideration of all evidence and reports
offered at said hearing, did adopt Resolution No. 174, Series
1954 -55, granting said Variance No. 364 upon the condition
stated in said resolution; and
WHEREAS, thereafter, within twenty (20) days from the
date of the adoption of said resolution, written appeals were
filed with the City Council of the City of Anaheim opposing
the granting of said variance, and said appeals were set for
public hearing on the 28th day of June, 1955 at 7:00 o'clock
P.M., at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim, and notice of
such public hearing was duly given as required by law and the
provisions of Section 9200.17 of the Anaheim Municipal Code;
an d
WHEREAS, after due investigation and studies made by it-
self and in its behalf, and after due consideration of all the
evidence and reports offered at said hearing, the City Council
does find and determine that:
1. There is no substantial property right possessed
by other property in the same vicinity and zone
and denied the subject property.
2. It appears that the subject property can be
adequately developed and used under the present
zone.
N0.', THEREFROE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the action of the City Planning Com-
mission granting Variance No. 364, requesting permission to
construct a church building on the above described property,
be and the same is hereby disapproved, and said variance is
hereby denied.

THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by me
this 12th day of July, 1955.
