1955-2850A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL•OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE
ES TABLI SH1 TENT OF A BOULEVARD STOP SIGN ON
EUCLID AVENUE AT THE INT;RSECTION OF EUCLID
AVENUE AND BALL ROAD.
WHEREAS, Section 165, Subdivision "B,' of the
California Vehicle Code provides that local authorities
in their respective jurisdiction shall have authority to
place and maintain, or cause to be placed and maintained,
such traffic signs as may be necessary to indicate and to
carry out the provisions of the California Vehicle Code
and local traffic ordinances, or to regulate, warn or
guide traffic; and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Municipal Code, Section 3213,
provides that the City Council shall, by r esolution, de-
termine and designate the character of all official warning
and direction signs and signals; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that to eliminate
traffic hazards and promote the safety and welfare of
citizens and residents of the City of Anaheim, a boulevard
stop sign should he established and maintained on Euclid
Avenue, on the north side, at the intersection of Euclid
Avenue and Ball Road, in the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the Chief of Police be, and he
is hereby, authorized and directed to place and maintain
a boulevard stop sign on Euclid Avenue, on the north side
thereof at the intersection of Euclid Avenue and Ball Road
in the City of Anaheim; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVia) that the stop sign so es-
tablished and maintained shall conform to the regulations
of the California Vehicle Code as to size and design.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by
me this 12th day of July, 1955.
