1955-2813RESOLUTION NO. 2813 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE JOINT CONSTRUCTION AND INSTALLATION WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA OF A TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNAL SYSTEM AND HIGHWAY LIGHTING, AT THE INTERSECTION OF EUCLID AVENUE; WITH STATE HIGHWAY ROUTE VII -ORA -174 -ANA (MANCHESTER AVENUE) WITHIN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, AND PROVIDING FOR TEE PAYMENT OF A PORTION OF THE COST THEREOF BY THE CITY OF ANAHEIM. WHEREAS, the State and the City of Anaheim contem- plate the joint installation of a traffic control signal system and highway lighting at the intersection of Euclid Avenue with State Highway Route VII -Ora -174 -Ana (Manchester Avenue) within the City of Anaheim; and WHEREAS, the State and City desire to enter into an agreement for the construction and installation of said traffic control signal system and highway lighting and to provide for the maintenance functions that are to be per- formed by the State and the City, and to specify the propor- tionate share of the costs that are to be borne by the City and the State, as more particularly set forth in the form of agreement submitted to the City by the State. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that the City be, and it is hereby, authorized to enter into an agreement with the State of California, in the usual and customary form used and pro- vided by the State of California in such matters, for the joint installation of a traffic control signal system and highway lighting at the intersection of Euclid Avenue with State Highway Route VII- Ora -174 -Ana (Manchester Avenue) within the City of Anaheim upon the terms and conditions set forth in said agreement, and upon the further condition that the contract or contracts for the construction and in- stallation of said traffic control signal system and highway lighting shall be awarded by the State to the lowest re- sponsible bidder, after the publication of a notice inviting sealed proposals therefor, as provided in Chapter 3, Part 5, Division 3, Title 2, Section 14290, and as provided in Sec- tions 37902 and 37903 of the Government Code of the State of California. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City shall pay Fifty Percent (50 of the cost of construction and in- stallation of said traffic control signal system and highway lighting, as provided in said agreement, and estimated to be the sum of 3,400.00 the actual amount thereof to be determined after award and completion of the construction contract. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized to execute said agreement for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
