A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE
OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY FROM L. B. RO ,UET
AND BETTY J. ROQ,UET FOR PUBLIC UTILITY AND
STREET WIDEI'••ING PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, L. B. Roquet and Betty J. Roquet, husband_ and
wife, are the owners of the hereinafter described real property
situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of
California, and
WHEREAS, said owners have offered to sell said property
to the City of Anaheim for the sum of Two Thousand Five Hundred
Dollars ($2,500.00) cash, lawful money of the United States, and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that
public convenience and necessity require the purchase and acquisi-
tion of said parcel of real property; that said property is needed_
for public utility and street widening purposes, and that the price
which the owners thereof are willing to accept is reasonable and
not out of proportion to the reasonable value of said property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim_ that the offer of L. B. Roquet and Betty J.
Roquet to sell said property situated in the City of Anaheim,
County of Orange, State of California, described as follows, to
wit:
The Southerly 60 feet of the Easterly 225
feet of that portion of Lot 38 of Anaheim
Extension, in the City of Anaheim, County
of Orange, State of California, as shown on
a map of survey made by William Hamel and
filed in the office of the County Recorder
of Los Angeles County, California, a copy
of which is shown in book 3, pages 162, 163,
and 164, entitled "Los Angeles County Maps"
on file in the office of the County Recorder
of said Orange County, described as follows:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of said
Lot 38, being in the center line of Citron
Street, as shown on said map of survey, and
running thence South 74 17 30" West, along
the Northerly line of said Lot 38, 527.93
feet to the Easterly line of Tract No. 1404,
as shown on a map thereof recorded in book
45, pages 23 and 24, Miscellaneous Maps,
records of said Orange County; thence South
15° 20' East, along said Easterly line 192
feet to the Northerly line of Tract No. 2123,
as shown on a map thereof recorded in book
69, pages 18 and 19, Miscellaneous Maps,
records of said Orange County; thence North
74 17' 30" East, along said Northerly line
and its Easterly prolongation, 528.15 feet
to said center line of Citron Street; thence
North 15° 20' West, along said center line,
192 feet to the point of beginning.

SUBJECT to covenants, conditions, restrictions,
reservations, rights, rights -of -way and ease-
ments of record,
for the sum of Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars (42,500.00)
in cash, lawful money of the United States, be and the same
is hereby accepted, subject to the terms and conditions here-
inafter stated.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of the City
of Anaheim be, and he is hereby, authorized for and on behalf
of the City of Anaheim to sign escrow instructions for the
purchase of said real property and to enter into an escrow
with the owners of said property at All Service Corporation,
211 East Center Street, Anaheim, California;
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Treasurer
be, and he is hereby, authorized to deposit in escrow at All
Service Corporation, 211 East Center Street, Anaheim, California,
the sum of Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($2,500.00) cash,
lawful money of the United States, to be paid to the owners of
said real property when a deed conveying said property to the
City of Anaheim, free and clear of all encumbrances, except all
general and special taxes for the fiscal year 1955 -56, not yet
payable, and taxes which are not yet due, including special
district levies, payment of which is included therein and col-
lected therewith, and covenants, conditions, restrictions, rights,
rights -of -way and easements of record, can be recorded and a
policy of title insurance issued by any reputable title company
in Orange County, California showing said property vested in
the City of Anaheim.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the sellers shall pay
the usual and customary seller's charges for furnishing a
policy of title insurance necessary to show title vested in
the City of Anaheim, as herein provided, and that the City of
Anaheim shall pay the usual buyer's charges in the purchase
of said property.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 24th day of May, 1955.

Anaheim, do hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was
adopted and passed at a regular meeting of the City Council
of the City of Anaheim, held on the 24th day of May, 1955,
by the following vote of the members thereof:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Pearson, Fry, Schutte, Wisser
and Van Wagoner.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor of the City of
Anaheim signed and approved said Resolution on the 24th day of
May, 1955.
