A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL. OF `I'H_ CITY
OF ANAHEIM CHANGING THE NAME OF EAST NORTE
STREET, 'MERE IT IS SO USED EAST OF NORTH' EAST
STREET, TO EAST LA PALMA AVENUE.
WHEREAS, the names North Street" and "East
La Palma Avenue" are both used on a portion of the same street
lying east of North East Street in the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the use of two names for the same street
is a source of confusion to the public; and
WHEREAS, East La Palma Avenue does extend easterly
and westerly from North East Street; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a
public hearing to consider changing the name of said street
and did post notices of said hearing in at least three (3)
public places along the street proposed to be affected at
least ten (10) days before the date set for said hearing, and
after holding said hearing did recommend to the City Council,
by Resolution No. 137 Series 195- -55 passed April 18,
1955, that the name "East North Street, where used for that
portion of street east of North East Street, berchanged to
East La Palma Avenue.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the name "East North Street," where
it is so used for that portion of street east of North East
Street, be, and the same is hereby changed to, and shall here-
after be known as, "East La Palma Avenue."
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chief of Police of
the City of Anaheim be, and he is hereby, authorized and
directed to post, or cause to be posted, the necessary signs
upon said street to accomplish the change in name as herein
made.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by
me this 10th day of May, 1955.

AYES: COUNCILMEN: Pearson, Fry, Schutte, Wisser,
and Van Wagoner.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None.
AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor of the City of
Anaheim approved and signed said resolution on the 10th day of
May, 1955.
