1955-2718RESOLUTION NO. 2718 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 2495, ENTITLED, "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM ESTABLISHING A BASIC COMPENSATION PLAN FOR CERTAIN CLASSES OF EMPLOYMENT IN THE MUNICIPAL SERVICE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AND ESTABLISHING REGULATIONS FOR THE PLACEMENT OF PRESENT EMPLOYEES WITHIN THE WAGE AND SALARY SCHEDULE PROVIDED: PROVIDING FOR PHYSICAL EXAMINA- TIONS, HOLIDAYS, AND VACATIONS, AND REPEALING RESOLUTIONS NOS. 2056 -A AND 2141." BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that the following changes be made to Resolution No. 2495, entitled, "A resolution of the City of Anaheim establishing a basic compensation plan for certain classes of employment in the municipal service of the City of Anaheim and establishing regulations for the placement of present employees within the wage and salary schedule provided: providing for physical examinations, holidays, and vaca- tions, and repealing Resolutions Nos. 2056 -A and 2141." "SECTION 3: ALLOCATION OF CLASSES OF EMPLOYMENT TO SALARY AND WAGE SCHEDULES. (b) (The following class titles shall be added thereto): CLASS TITLE SCHEDULE NUMBER Research Analyst 282 Auditor- Accountant 29 Bookkeeping Machine Operator 20 Draftsman, Apprentice 22 Fire Inspector 27 Recreation Superintendent 30 Parks and Recreation Director 34 (The following class titles shall be changed to read): Draftsman From 24 to 25 Billing Clerk 20 16 Legal Secretary 21 22 (The following class titles shall be deleted): Assistant Parks Superintendent 26 Director of Recreation 33 Assistant Recreation Director 27 (Section 15 amended to read as follows): "SECTION 15: POLICE DEPARTMENT: An allowance of $90.00 per year payable semi annually for all regular officers and Police Matrons in active service, excepting the Chief, for uniforms, is hereby authorized. In addition to above listed compensation, members of the Police Department shall receive $12.00 per day for political code holidays, excepting therefrom Columbus Day, pay to be received during the month in which holidays occur. School Crossing Guards not to exceed nine (9) in number, whose compensation is hereby fixed at $88.00 per month for services under four (4) hours per day and $100.00 per month for services of four (4) hours and in excess of four (4) hours daily. -1- ATTEST: "SECTION 17: (To be deleted). (Section 18 amended to read as follows): "SECTION 18: TRAVELERS INSURANCE: In addition to the compen- sation above set forth that the employees of said City who are insured under a Group Life Insurance plan, heretofore established by said City, shall receive additional compensation equal to the premium paid upon their respective lives by said City which additional compensation shall, however, not be paid directly to the employees but to the company carry- ing such insurance and for such premium. The City of Anaheim shall deduct the sum of One and 40/100 ($1.40) Dollars each month from the salary of such employees insured, as outlined in the foregoing paragraph, which deduction shall be such employees* monthly contribution on the premium for such insurance. (Section 20 amended to read as follows): "SECTION 20: MEDICAL SURGICAL HOSPITAL BENEFITS: The City of Anaheim shall make deductions of authorized amounts from employees salary, payable to the authorized insurance agency in payment of full premium for employees and their dependents. (New section to be added): "SECTION 22 -A: INVESTIGATION: All applicants for positions with the City shall be photographed and fingerprinted and shall successfully undergo any further investigation deemed necessary to approve the applicant for employment. (The following shall be added to Section 22): "SECTION 22: PHYSICAL EXAMINATION: It shall be mandatory that safety employees undergo physical examination once a year."
