A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUT-iORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF A QUITCLAIM DEED TO REAL GOLD
CITRUS PRODUCTS, A CALIFORNIA NON PROFIT
COOPERATIVE MARKETING ASSOCIATION, AND
PACKERS= COLD STORAGE, INC., A CALIFORNIA
CORPORATION.
WHEREAS, Real Gold Citrus Products, a California
non profit cooperative marketing association, and Packers!
Cold Storage, Inc., a California corporation, have requested
the City of Anaheim to make, execute and deliver to them a
quitclaim deed remising, releasing and quitclaiming to them
any right, title and interest which the City may have in
and to the following described real property:
Beginning at a point in the east line of Olive
Street, said point being 68.91 feet south, measured
along said east line from the south line of Commercial
Street, as said streets are shown on map filed as
Record of Survey in Book 8, page 27, Record of Surveys
of said County, and being a point in the westerly line
of that certain 6.98 acre Parcel No. 1 as described in
Agreement For Sale and Purchase of Real and Personal
Property entered into between Real Gold Citrus Products
and Packers! Cold Storage, Inc., recorded June 7, 1 954,
in Book 2742, Pare 114, Official Records of said Orange
County, thence south 647.32 feet along said East line,
being along the westerly line of the above described
6.98 acre parcel and along the westerly line of that
certain Parcel No. 2 as described in said Agreement For
Sale (O.R. 2742 -114), to the Southwest corner of last
said Parcel No. 2; thence east 25.40 feet along the
south line of said Parcel No. 2, thence north and
parallel with said east line of said North Olive Street
512.73 feet; thence northwesterly along the arc of a
curve tangent to last described course, concave south-
westerly and having a radius of 369.265 feet, through
a central angle of 21° 22 30" a distance of 137.76
feet to the point of beginning; containing an area of
0.3517 of an acre, more or less.
AND WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the only
interest which the City has in said property hereinabove de-
scribed is the reservation of a right to use the southerly
2 -1/2 acres of all that certain real property described in
that certain agreement entered into on the 15th day of June,
1945 by and between the City of Anaheim, as Party of the First
Part, and Southern California Citrus Foods, a California
Corporation, Party of the Second Part, wherein and whereby
the City of Anaheim did agree to sell the property therein
described to said Southern California Citrus Foods, but re-
serving the use of said southerly 2 -1/2 acres for a mimimum
term of two (2) years from the date of said agreement, and
for so long thereafter as the Party of the Second Part did
not desire to use said 2 -1/2 acres; and
WHEREAS, said 2 -1/2 acres have been used by the
City for the maintenance of a dog pound; and

WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the execution
and delivery of the quitclaim deed requested by said Real
Gold Citrus Products and Packers' Cold Storage, Inc. will in
no way interfere with nor be detrimental to the City in the
maintenance of said dog pound on the remainder of said
property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the quitclaim
deed this day submitted to the City Council by Real Gold
Citrus Products and Packers' Cold Storage, Inc. be, and the
same is hereby, approved; and that the Mayor and the City
Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized and directed to
execute and deliver said quitclaim deed for and on behalf of
the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by
me this 29th day of March, 1955.
