A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING
THAT THE PURCHASE OF CAST IRON, STEEL
CYLINDER CONCRETE, OR TRANSITE WATER PIPE
IS NECESSARY FOR THE WATER DEPARTMENT;
FIXING THE SPECIFICATIONS THEREOF; AND
DIRECTING PUBLICATION OF NOTICE INVITING
BIDS FOR THE FURNISHING OF SAID PIPE.
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine
that public convenience and necessity require the purchase
and acquisition of cast iron, steel cylinder concrete, or
transite water pipe (and fittings if steel cylinder concrete
pipe is purchased) for use by the Water Department of the
City, in the amount hereinafter specified; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does further find that
the specifications of such pipe should be fixed and determined;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine
that notice should be published inviting bids for the furnish-
ing of said pipe in the amount and in accordance with the
specifications hereinafter set forth.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that all cast iron, steel cylinder con-
crete, or transite water pipe shall conform to the following
specifications:
Concrete Cylinder pipe shall comply with Federal
Specifications SS -P- 00381, dated April 2, 1953.
Cast iron pipe shall comply with Federal Specifica-
tions for cast iron bell and spigot pipe, Section
IV, Part 5, No. WW-P -421, dated July 21, 1931.
Transite pipe shall comply with AWWA Specification
No. 0- 400 -53T, dated May 15, 1953.
Pipe shall be Class 150 for 150 pounds maximum
water working pressure.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that there shall be pur-
chased for the Water Department of the City of Anaheim cast
iron, steel cylinder concrete, or transite water pipe (and
fittings if steel cylinder concrete pipe is purchased) in
the following approximate quantity, and the following size
and description:
Item 1.
2,b00 feet 14" cast iron, steel cylinder
concrete, or transite water pipe.
Item 2.
Two 14" x 14" x 10" fabricated tees,
with 10 outlet adapted for
flanged connection (for steel
cylinder pipe only).
Item 3.
Four
6" flanged outlets (for steel cyl-
inder pipe only).

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be,
and she is hereby, authorized and directed to publish a
notice in the Anaheim Bulletin, in the manner and form as
required by law, inviting sealed proposals for the furnishing
of said pipe (and fittings if steel cylinder concrete pipe
is purchased) above described, and directing that said sealed
bids will be received up to the hour of 7:00 o'clock P.M. on
April 5, 1955.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by
me this 22nd day of March, 1955.

of March, 1955.
