1955-2663"VdIEREAS, it has been called to the attention of the
City Council of the City of Anaheim that a program of legisla-
tion has been proposed before the 1955 Legislative Session of
the California State Legislature relating to the annexation of
territories to cities within the State; and
WHEREAS, said program of legislation has been reviewed
by the staff of the City of Anaheim and by the City Council; and
'ihLREAS, said legislative program has been found by
the City Council of the City of Anaheim to be not in the best
interests of the City in its orderly aevelopment and growth.
NOW, ThEREFORE, SE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that it oppose, and it noes hereby oppose,
the enactment of such program of legislation and that it urge,
and it noes hereby urge, opposition to such legislation.
AND bE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the staff of the City
of Anaheim make known such opposition to said legislation by
advising the Orange County representatives in the Assembly and
Senate of the State Legislature of such opposition.
