1955-2660A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT
WITH THE ORANGE COUNTY PEACE OFFICERS ASSOCIATION, INC.,
RELATING TO THE USE OF TARGET RANGE.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim is maintaining and operating a Target
Range for training of members of theTolice Department of the City of
Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, a similar Target Range is maintained by the Orange County
Peace Officers Association, Inc. in its training center, located on Struck
Avenue just east of the Santa Ana River, which is open for the training of
Peace Officers of the County; and
WHEREAS, the Orange County Peace Officers Association, Inc. has
this day submitted to the City Council, an agreement to provide the use of
its Target Range, supervised by a competent range master to act as instructor,
together with all targets used for the use of training of the members of the
Police Department of the City of Anaheim, and providing for an annual charge
for each man using the target rangq, and providing a charge for ammunition
used in target practice; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find that the cost of using the
Target Range of the Orange County Peace Officers Association, Inc. and the
training of Anaheim Police Officers at said range will be more economical
than the maintenance by the City of Anaheim of its own Target Range; and
that it would be to the advantage and for the best interest of the City of
Anaheim to enter into said agreement with the Orange County Peace Officers
Association, Inc. for the use of its Target Range for the use and training
of Anaheim Police Officers.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Anaheim that the agreement this day submitted by the Orange County Peace
Officers Association, Inc. for the use of its Target Range for the use and
training of the Anaheim Police Officers be, and the same is hereby approved,
and that the Mayor and the City Clerk be, and they are hereby authorized
and directed, to execute said agreement for, and on behalf of the City of
Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me this 15th
day of March, 1955.

NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT: COUNCILMAN: Schutte.
