A ESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ACKNOWLEDGING RECEIPT OF A PETITION
FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED
TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, DESIGNATING
THE TERRITORY AS THE
BROOKEURST -BAL
ANNEXATION; D EC,CRIBING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE
TERRITORY PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED AND GIVING
NOTICE OF THE DAY, HOUR AND PLACE WHERE AND
WHEN ANY PERSON OWNING REAL PROPERTY WITHIN
SUCH TERRITORY SO PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED MAY
APPEAR BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL AND SHOW CAUSE
;THY SUCH TERRITORY SHOULD NOT BE ANNEXED TO
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim dice
on the 8th day of March 19 55 receive a
written petition asking that certain new territory described
said petition be annexed to the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, before the filing of said petition, the pro
posal for the annexation of the territory hereinafter described
to the City of Anaheim was submitted to the Boundary Commissio4
of the County of Orange, State of California, and reported upon
by said Boundary Commission with respect to the definiteness and
certainty of the proposed boundaries; and
WHEREAS, said territory proposed to be annexed to said
City of Anaheim is situated in the County of Orange, State of
California, and is contiguous to the City of Anaheim and is un-
inhabited territory, and said petition contained a description
of said territory in words and figures as hereinafter in this
Resolution described; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds from evidence and re-
oorts received that at the time of the filing and receipt of saiu
petition, it was and now is signed by owners of not less than one
fourth (4) of the area and not less than one- fourth of the
assessed valuation of the land in such territory proposed to be
annexed, according to the last preceding equalized county assess-
ment rill; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds from evidence and re-
'ports received and from said petition that at the time of the
filing and presentation of said petition that said new territory
proposed to be annexed to said City of Anaheim did not form a
part of any municipal corporation and that said territory was un-
inhabited and is contiguous to the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds from said petition and
evidence and reports received that the boundaries of the territory
so proposed to be annexed to the City of Anaheim are as follows,
to wit:
A parcel of land, being a portion of Sections 18 and
19, Township 4 South, Range 10 West, San Bernardino Base
and Meridian and more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the southwesterly corner of the SE 1 /4
of SE 1/4 of Section 18, T4S, R1OW, S.B.B. M., said
point also being on the center line of Ball Road; thence,
1. Southerly 30 feet, more or less, along the southerly
prolongation of westerly line of said SE 1/4 of SE 1/4 of
Section 18, T4S, R1OW, S.B.B. M. to a point 30.00 feet
southerly, as measured at right angles, from the southerly
line of said SE 1/4 of SE 1 /4 and said center line of Ball
Road; thence,
2. Easterly 1290 feet, more or less, along a line
parallel to and 30.00 feet southerly of said southerly line
of SE 1/4 of SE 1/4 and said center line of Ball Road to a
point 30.00 feet westerly from the southerly prolongation
of the easterly line of said SE 1/4 of SE 1/4, said easterly
line also being the center line of Brookhurst Street, and
said point being located in the existing Anaheim City Limits
Line as established by the Orange Avenue Annexation to the
City of Anaheim, Annexation No. )111, as passed by Ordinance
No. 914, August 10 1954 and filed with the Secretary of
State on October 18, 1954; thence,
3. Northerly 900 feet, more or less, along a line
parallel to and 30.00 feet westerly of said easterly line
of SE 1/4 of SE 1/4 and its southerly prolongation, and
said center line of Brookhurst Street, said line being on
the said existing Anaheim City Limits Line to a point in
the northerly line of a 25 acre parcel of land owned by the
Burmingham Development Company as per deed recorded in
Book 2735 at Page 180, Official Records of Orange County
and described as follows: "The south 25 acres of the SE 1/4
of SE 1/4 of Section 18, T4S, R1OW, S.B.B. M. in the
Rancho Los Coyotes, County of Orange, State of California,
excepting therefrom any portion thereof which may be in—
cluded within the north 15 acres of the SE 1/4 of SE 1 /4
of said Section 18 thence,

That such proposes: annexation be designated as
BROOKHURST -BALL ANNEXATION, and that notice of such pro-
posed annexation be and the same is hereby given; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVE: that the 21st day of April
at 55 at the hour. of 7:_p) o l crock_ .M.,
a the City Council Chamber in the City Hall of the City of Any
heim, be and the sar ,e is hereby fixed as the day, hour and place
when and where any person owning real property within said terri-
tory so t.r•oposed to be annexed, and having any objections to the
proposed annexation, may appear before the City Council of the
City of Anaheim and. show cause why such territory should not be
so annexed; that all persons having any objections to such pro-
posed annexation_ are hereby notified to appear on said day at said
hour and place to show cause, if any they have, why such territory
should not be so annexed; and
BE IT FU T'hE R RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she 'R
hereby, authorized and directed to cause a copy of this Resolution
to be published at least twice, but not oftener than once a :,reek,
in a newspaper of general circulation, published in the •:pity, to
wit: The Anaheim Bulletin of Anaheim, Orange County, California,
and also in a newspaper of general circulation, published outside
of the City, but in the County of Orange, in which is located she

AND DE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the
City of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed to
cause written notice of such proposed annex:: t on to be r. ailed to

annexed is as >essed, in the last equalized county assessment roll
available, on the date the proceedings were ieitiated, at the
address E, .o:,an on said assessment roll or as known to said City
Clerk, and to any person who has filed his name and address and
the designation of lands In which he has any interest, either
legal or equitable, with said Clerk: That in t.,e event t
within the territory proposed to be annexed to the City of Anaheim
is owned by a County, the City Clerk of the (1 ty of Anaheim shall
also cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed
to the Board of Supervisors of such County. The foregoing notices
shall be given not less than twenty (20) days before the first
public hearing c. the proposed annexation.
