1955-2637RESOLUTION NO. 2637 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE BANK OF AMERICA NATIONAL TRUST AND SAVINGS ASSOCIATION TO PRO- VIDE FOR THE PAYMENT THROUGH CHASE NATIONAL BANK OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK AND CONTIN "ENTAL IT.J ,INOIS NATIONAL BANK AND TRUST COMPANY OF CHICAGO OF PRINCIPAL AND INTER "EST ON THE 0,500,000 ISSUE OF ANAHEIM CITY MUNICIPAL IMPROVEMENT BONDS OF 1955, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE AGREEMENT MADE AND ENTERED INTO BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AND BANK OF AMERICA NATIONAL TRUST AND SAVINGS ASSOCIATION DATED NOVEMBER 30, 1953. WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has issued and sold Municipal Improvement Bonds in the principal amount of 03,50 dated in January, 1955; and WHEREAS, the Bank of America National Trust and Savings Association was the highest and best bidder for the purchase of said bonds, and said bonds were thereupon sold to said Bank of America National Trust and Savings Associa- tion; and WHEREAS, the Bank of America has requested the City to designate fiscal agents in the Cities of New York and Chicago for the payment and collection of principal and interest upon said bonds; and WHEREAS, heretofore, to wit, on the 30th day of November, 1953 the City of Anaheim made and entered into an agreement with the Bank of America National Trust and Savings Association, a national banking association, author- izing said bank, upon request of the City of Anaheim, to cause any bonds of the City, or department thereof, and any coupons pertaining to such bonds, to be honored in accordance with the terms thereof, upon the presentation of the same for payment or for collection upon maturity, to Bank of America, or to any banks designated in the City of New York or in the City of Chicago; and WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that it would be to the advantage and for the best interest of the City of Anaheim to designate fiscal agents in said Cities of New York and Chicago for the payment and collec- tion of principal and interest upon said bonds. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that the Chase National Bank of the City of New York and Continental Illinois National Bank and Trust Company of Chicago are hereby designated as fiscal and paying agents under said issue of Anaheim City Municipal Improvement Bonds of 1955, in the amount of 0,500,000; and that the Bank of America shall cause any bonds of the City of Anaheim and any coupons pertaining to such bonds, to be honored in accordance with the terms thereof, upon the presentation of the same for payment, or for collection upon maturity, to the Bank of America or the Chase National Bank of the City of New York or Continental Illinois National Bank and Trust Company of Chicago, and that the payment or -1- collection of principal and interest upon said bonds shall otherwise be handled by said Bank of America in accordance with the provisions of said agreement made and entered in- to by and between the City of Anaheim and said Bank of America on the 30th day of November, 1953.
