1955-2631 (2)RESOLUTION NO. 2631 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING MHAT A CHANGE OF ZONE SHOULD NOT BE GRANTED IN A CERTAIN AREA OF THE CITY HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED. WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim has heretofore duly passed and adopted a resolu- tion recommending denial of a change in the boundaries of the zone or zones hereinafter mentioned and described, after having fixed a time and place for the holding of a public hearing thereon in the manner and as prescribed in Article IX, Chapter 2 of the Anaheim Municipal Code, and after having duly held and conducted such public hearing to consider said proposed change of zone or zones, and after having received evidence and reports from persons interested therein; and WHEREAS, within a period of forty (40) days follow- ing the hearing thereon, the Planning Commission did duly announce by formal Resolution No. 62 Series 1 954 55, its findings of facts and declare its opinions and reasons for recommending a denial of said proposed change in the bounda- ries of the zone hereinafter mentioned and described; and WHEREAS, thereafter, within twenty (20) days from the date of the adoption of said resolution by the Planning Commission, a written appeal was filed with the City Council of the City of Anaheim requesting a review of the matter, whereupon the City Council did fix the 25th day of January, 1955, at 8:00 o'clock P.M., as the time and the City Council Chambers in the City Hall, in the City of Anaheim, as the place for a public hearing upon said proposed change of zone, and did give notice thereof in the manner and as provided in Article IX, Chapter 2 of the Anaheim. Municipal Code; and WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said public hearing, the City Council did duly hold and conduct such public hearing and did give all persons interested therein an opportunity to be heard, and did receive evidence and reports and did thereupon consider the recommendation of the City Planning Commission; and WHEREAS, after due consideration of all the evi- dence and reports offered at said hearing, the City Council does find and determine that the property and area proposed to be changed from the zone in which it is now situated to a different zone, as hereinafter set forth, is more suitable for the zone in which it is now incorporated and that a change of zone should not be granted. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that all of the property and area situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, described as follows, to wit: The North 26L feet of the following described property: The Westerly half of the Northerly half of the Easterly half of Lot 9 of Anaheim Extension, in the City of Anaheim, as shown on a map thereof made by William Hamel on file in the -1- remain in the R -A, RESIDENTIAL- AGRICULTURAL ZONE in which it is now incorporated, and that the proposed reclassification to C -1, NEIGHBORHOOD COMM RCIAL ZONE be denied, as recom- mended by the City Planning Commission.
