A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM CONSENTING TO THE ANNEXATION TO THE
CITY OF ORANGE OF CERTAIN PROPERTY SITUATED
WITHIN THREE MILES OF THE EXTERIOR BOUNDARIES
OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, there has been filed with the City Council
of the City of Anaheim a written request from the City of
Orange requesting consent of the City Council of the City of
Anaheim to the annexation to the City of Orange of certain
territory consisting of property abutting on a street, high-
way or road, together with the street, highway or road which
connects such territory to the City of Orange, as provided in
Section 35,105.5 of the Government Code, and which territory
is hereinafter more particularly described, and which terri-
tory, street, highway or road is situated within three miles
of the boundaries of the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the annexation
of said territory to the City of Orange would not interfere
with the normal expansion and growth of the City of Anaheim,
and that it would be to the advantage and for the best in-
terest of the electors and property owners situated in said
territory that it be annexed to the City of Orange.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that consent be, and it is hereby,
given to the City of Orange to annex the following described
territory situated in the County of Orange, State of Cali-
fornia:
Beginning at a point on the present boundary
line of the City of Orange, said point being
in the center line of the right -of -way of
Palmyra Avenue and South 0° 01 30" West
260.92 feet from the Northwest corner of that
160 acre tract of land conveyed by Alfred B.
Chapman to Thomas M. Shaffer by deed recorded
in Book 29, Page 30 of Deeds, Records of Los
Angeles County, California; thence South 89°
55 30" East 30 feet; thence South 0 01 30"
West 402.18 feet parallel with the center line
of Flower Street; thence South 89° 56 15"
East 630.00 feet; thence South 0° 01 30" West
692.90 feet to the South line of the right -of-
way of La Veta Avenue, Sixty feet wide; thence
North 89° 57 00" West 690.00 feet along said
South line of the right -of -way of La Veta
Avenue to the West line of the right -of -way
of Flower Street sixty (60) feet wide; thence
North 0° 01' 30" East along said West line
1095.18 feet to the present boundary line of
the City of Orange; thence South 89° 59 30"
East 30.00 feet to the point of beginning.
