1954-2610WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be to
the advantage and for the best interest of the City of Anaheim
and the residents and taxpayers therein that plans showing the
type and character of buildings or structures to be erected
upon lots in subdivisions be submitted and filed with the City
Council at the time of the submission of tentative maps; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does further find that
such requirement is necessary for and designed to lessen con-
gestion; to secure safety from fire and other dangers; to
prevent overcrowding of land; to avoid undue concentration of
population; to facilitate the adequate provision of distribu-
tion of water, sewage, parks and other public improvements;
and that such requirement is made with a view of conserving
property values and encouraging the most appropriate use of
land, and in consideration of the direction of planning and
building development according to a well considered plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that all persons, firms or corpora-
tions shall at the time of the submission of tentative maps
for the subdivision of property within the City of Anaheim,
submit to and file with the City Council a set of plans
showing the type and character of buildings or structures to
be erected upon the lots in said subdivisions, showing floor
plans and elevations, and type of construction contemplated
in the area covered by the tentative mapssubmitted.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 28th day of December, 1 954.
