A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM ACCEPTING A GRANT DEED
CONVEYING TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM CERTAIN
REAL PROPERTY FOR AN EASEMENT FOR STREET
AND UTILITY PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim
is desirous of purchasing the hereinafter described real
property for public purposes,`to wit: An easement for
Street and utility purposes; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim
finds that it is for the benefit and best interest of the
City of Anaheim to accept said offer and purchase said real
property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the offer of ROBERT B. SNEE and
HELEN' SNEE, husband and wife as joint tenants, to sell to
the City of Anaheim the following described real property
situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of
California, and more particularly described as follows:
The southerly 40 feet of the easterly 168
feet of the westerly 6 acres of the East
1/2 of the West 1/2 of Lot 8 of Anaheim
Extension as shown on a map thereof made
by William Hamel in 1868 and filed in Book
3, Pages 162 -164, Records of Los Angeles
County, California,
TO BE USED FOR STREET AND UTILITY PURPOSES,
be, and the same is hereby, accepted by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim, and that the City of Anaheim accept a
conveyance of said property.
IN CONSIDERATION OF the improvement by the City
of Anaheim of the above described property as a street and
the extension of Broadway Street in the City of Anaheim
from South East Street to the Westerly boundary of Tract
1565, Robert B. Snee and Helen Snee, husband and wife as
joint tenants, the Grantors in that certain Grant Deed
dated October 26, 1954, agree to pay for the installation
of curbs and sidewalks upon, along and over the property
abutting said street, and they agree to pay such cost when
requested by the City Council of the City of Anaheim so
to do.
BE IT ruRTHER RESOLVED that the City Treasurer of
the City of Anaheim be, and he is hereby, authorized to pay
to the owners of said real property, out of General Funds
of the City of Anaheim, the sum of One and no /100 ($1.00)
Dollars.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed
by me this 9th day of November, 1 954.
