A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ACCEPTING A GRANT DEED CONVEYING
TO=THE CITY OF ANAHEIM CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY
FOR AN EASEMENT FOR STREET AND UTILITY
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim is
desirous of purchasing the hereinafter described real property
for public purposes, to wit: An easement for street and
utility purposes; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim
'finds that it is for the benefit and best interest of the City
of Anaheim to accept said offer ands purchase said real property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the offer of GRACE ELIZABETH DICKERSON,
a single person, to sell to the City of Anaheim the following
described real property situated in the City of Anaheim, County
of Orange, State of California, and more particularly de-
scribed as follows, to be used for street and utility purposes:
That portion of the West 7 acres of Lot 10 of
Anaheim Extension as shown on a map thereof
made by William Hamel in 1868 and filed in Book
3, Pages 162 -164, Records of Los Angeles County,
California, and more particularly described as
follows:
All that portion lying 40 feet northerly of the
center line of East Broadway as shown on Tract
1565 recorded in Book 49, Pages 19 -24, and
Tract 1770 recorded in Book 59, Pages 7 -10 of
Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County,
California,
be, and the same is hereby, accepted by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim, and that the City of Anaheim accept a convey-
ance of said property; and in consideration of the improvement
by the City of Anaheim of the above described property as a street
and the extension of Broadway Street in the City of Anaheim from
South East Street to the westerly boundary of Tract 1565, the
grantor, Grace Elizabeth Dickerson, agrees to pay for the in-
stallation of curbs and sidewalks upon, along and over the
property abutting said street, and agrees to pay the cost when
requested by the City Council of the City of Anaheim so to do.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Treasurer of the
City of Anaheim be, and he is hereby, authorized to pay to the
owner of said real property, out of General Funds of the City
of Anaheim, the sum of One and no /100 $1.00) Dollars,
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 28th day of September, 1 954.
