A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
CITY OF ANAHEIM EMPLOYING THE LAW FIRM
OF O'MELVENY MYERS AS SPECIAL COUNSEL
TO ASSIST THE CITY ATTORNEY IN THE CASE
OF LANSDALE, ET AL. VS.' THE CITY OF,
ANAHEIM, ET AL.
WHEREAS, an Action has been commenced against the
City of Anaheim by William M. Lansdale, Dyke Lansdale, Moore
Built Homes, Inc., a corporation, Walnut Co., Ltd., a
partnership, as plaintiffs and petitioners against the City
of Anaheim and the members of the City Council of the City
of Anaheim and the former City Clerk and the present City
Clerk of the City of Anaheim, to obtain a Writ of Certiorari,
a Writ of Mandamus, and injunction to restrain and en-
join the annexation proceedings in the Disneyland Annexation;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find that it is
necessary and proper to employ special counsel to assist the
City Attorney in presenting the defense of the City, the
City Council and the City Clerk in said matter, and does
further find that the law firm of O'Melveny Myers of Los
Angeles, California has had special training and experienc4
in such matters and should be employed in said matter.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the law firm of O'Melveny Myers
of Los Angeles, California be, and it is hereby, employed as
special counsel to assist the City Attorney of the City of
Anaheim in the preparation for and the defense of the City
of Anaheim and all of the defendants and respondents named
in said action hereinabove mentioned, and to do and perform
all things necessary and proper in the defense of said
action; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said law firm of O'Melveny
Myers shall be compensated for their services as follows:
For the services of a senior member of said law,
at the rate of *50 per hour for time actually
spent in the preparation or defense of said
action;
For a senior assistant in said law firm, at the
rate of $35 per hour for the time actually
spent in the preparation or defense of said
action;
For the services of a junior assistant of said
law firm, at the rate of $25 per hour for the
time actually spent in the preparation or de-
fense of said action.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by me
this 22nd day of September, 1954.
