RESOLUTION NO. 2490
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM APPOINTING A CITY CLERK
TO FILL THE VACANCY IN THE OFFICE OF THE
CITY CLERK WHICH WILL OCCUR ON AUGUST 1,
1954.
WHEREAS, the City Council does find that there will
be a vacancy in the Office of the City Clerk of the City of
Anaheim on and after August 1, 1954; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does further find that
public convenience and necessity require the appointment of
some person as City Clerk to fill such vacancy; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find that Dene M.
Williams, the Chief Deputy City Clerk, is qualified to perform
the duties of City Clerk and it would be to the advantage and
for the best interest ofthe City of Anaheim to appoint her to
fill the vacancy occurring in that office on August 1, 1 954.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that Dene M. Williams be, and she is
hereby, appointed City Clerk of the City of Anaheim, effective
August 1, 1954, to fill the vacancy in that office that will
occur on that date; and that she shall receive as compensa-
tion the salary as set forth in the Anaheim Municipal Code.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that before entering
upon the performance of her duties as City Clerk, that she
furnish to the City a good and sufficient faithful perform-
ance bond in the penal sum of Two Thousand ($2,000) Dollars.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by
me this 27th day of July, 1 954.
