A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM CREATING A SPECIAL FUND FOR THE
ACQUISITION OF PARK SITES, PLAYGROUNDS AND
RECREATIONAL FACILITIES IN SUBDIVISIONS AP-
PROVED WITHIN THE CITY OR ANNEXED TO THE CITY
ON AND AFTER MARCH 1, 1954; AND RESCINDING
RESOLUTION NO. 2383.
WHEREAS, the City Council has heretofore adopted
Ordinance No. 901 amending the Anaheim Municipal Code and
providing for the levy and assessment on each lot in new
subdivisions in the City of Anaheim or annexed thereto on
or after March 1, 1954 of the sum of X25.00 for the acquisi-
tion of park sites, playgrounds and recreational facilities
in the City of Anaheim for the purpose of promoting the
safety and welfare of children within the City and keeping
them off the streets; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the funds so
levied, assessed and collected should be deposited in a
special fund and used only for the purposes set forth in
said Ordinance No. 901, and at such places and in such man-
ner as authorized and directed by the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
that there be, and there is hereby, established a special
fund for the acquisition of park sites, playgrounds and
recreational facilities, which said fund shall be known and
designated as "The Park Site, Playground and Recreational
Fund"; and that all funds collected and received pursuant
to the provisions of Ordinance No. 901, and Sections Nos.
9100.10, 9100.11 and 9100.12 of the Anaheim Municipal Code,
shall be deposited in said fund and shall be used by the
City for the purposes specified in said Ordinance and Code
Sections as authorized and directed by the City Council.
RESOLUTION NO, 2383, approved April 13, 1954, is
hereby rescinded.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 13th day of July, 1954.
