56R-3204 RESOLUTION NO. 3204 -, A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AJ:'PROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREN1ENT FOR STATE ADMINISTRATION OF LOCAL SALES AND USE TAXES. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim has adopted Ordinance No. 1052, levying sales and use taxes to be collected in the City of Anaheim pursuant to Part 1.5 of Division 2 of the Revenue and Taxation Code of the State of California relating to uniform looal sales and use taxes, to beoome effective April 1, 1956; and WHEREAS, said Part 1.5 of Division 2 of the Revenue and Taxation Code provides that the City shall oontract, prior to the effective date of the City Sales and Use Tax Ordinanoe, with the State Board of Equalization to perform all functions incident to the administration or operation of the Sales and Use Tax Ordinance of the City, which shall continue in effect so long as the County within which the City is looated has an operative Sales and Use Tax Ordinanoe enacted pursuant to said Part 1.5 of Division 2 of the Revenue and Taxation Code of the State of California; and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange, State of California, has duly passed and adopted a Uniform Local Sales and Use Tax Ordinance to become effective April 1, 1956; and WHEREAS, a Uniform Agreement for State Administra- tion of Local Sales and Use Taxes, approved by the State Board of Equalization, has been submitted to the City Counoil of the City of Anaheim for its approval; and WHEREAS, the City Council does find that said Agree- ment for State Administration of Local Sales and Use Taxes submitted for approval, is fair and reasonable and to the advantage and for the best interest of the City of Anaheim, and that it should be approved and its execution authorized, by the proper City officers. NOW, THEREFOP~, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that the Agreement for State Administra- tion of Local Sales and Use Taxes, as approved by the State Board of Equalization and this day submitted to the City Council, a copy of which is on file in the Office of the City Clerk, is hereby approved; and that the Mayor and the City Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized and directed to execute said agreement with the State Board of Equalization for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim. .-- AND BE n B'-iJRTdEJ-( RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed to forward five executed copies of said agreement to the Secretary of the State Board of Equalization, Sacramento 8, California, to- gether with five certified copies of the Sales and Use Tax -1- Ordinance, and five certified copies of this resolution authorizing the execution of said agreement. ~- THE FOHEGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me this 27th day of March, 1956. . /...-,,~..... e. h.~~~ .: >- '\ ~/':/ ",. ~ , / /(Zc:::C./. .
