A RESOLUTION OF Till.; CITY OOUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF AlIAHEUl FINDIl'JG MID DETERNINING THAT A
CHANGE OF ZONE IS NECESSARY IN CERTAIN AREAS
OF THE CITY AND THAT ARTICLE IX, CHAPTER 2 OF

1'0 ACCOlIf~LISH SAID CHANGE OF ZONE.
~HE~REAS, the City Plannin~ Commission of the City of
AnE~eim did institute an action to reclassify a strip of land
60 feet in width around the perimeter of the area known as the
Placentia-Dall Annexation, more particularly hereinafter de-
scribed, and did fix a time and place for the holding of a public
hearing upon verified petitions submitted by property owners for
SB..id rec18ssification, and did duly holci and conduct such publio
hearing as Drescribec, in Article IX, Chapter 2 of the Anaheim
MunicipHl Code, and did receive evidence and reports from persons
interested therein; and
V!HEREAS, wlthin a period of forty (40) days following
the hearing thereon, the Plannin~~ Commission did duly announoe
by formal resolution its findings of facts and declare its
opinions and reasons for recoillmenciin~ an amendment to said Artiole
IX, Chapter 2 of the Anaheim Nunicipal Code to effect the pro-
posed chanf;es of the bounderies of the zone hereinafter mentioned
and described; an~
wHEREAS, upon receipt of the report and recommendation
of the City Planning Commission the City Council referred the
proposed reclassific&tion back to the City Plannin~ Commission
for review and ap088ible reduction of the oroposed zone; and
VlHER::~AS, the Ci ty Plannin~ Commis s ion did thereupon
institute an action to reclassify a strip 50 feet in width
around the oerimeter of S~l io. area. known 8.S the Placentia-Ball
Annexa.tion, and hereinafter more particularly described, and
did fix a time and place for the holdinE; of a public hearing
thereon ancl did dv:Ly hole, anci conduct such public hearing as
prescribeci in Article IX, Chapter 2 of the Anaheim Nunicipal
Code, and did rece i ve evid.ence 8.nd reports from persons inter-
ested therein; and

the final hearin~ thel'eon, the Plannin~ Commission did duly
announce by formal resolution its findings of facts and d.eclare
its o.oin10ns anci reanons for recommendinG an amendment to said
Article IX, Chapter 2 of the Anaheim Munic.ipal Code to effect
the proDosed changes of the boundaries of the zone hereinafter
mentioned. and d.escribed.; and

\vrlEF8;AS, upon receipt of said report and recommendation
of the City Planning Commission, the City Council d.id thereupon
fix the 27th d&y of March, 1956, as the time and Council Chambers
in the City Hall of the City of Anaheim as the place for a public
hearing upon said Drooosed change of zone and did give notice
thereof in the manner and as Drovided in said Article IX, Chapter
2 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, a."'G the time and ulace fixed for said public
hearing, the City Council did duly hold and oonduct such public
hearing and did. give all persons interested therein an opDortu-
nity to be heard and did receive evidence and reports and did
thereupon consider the recommendations of the City Planning
COlnrrrission; and

~HEill~AS, the City Council does find and determine that
the property and area proposed to be changed from the zone in
which it is now situated to a different zone as hereinafter set
forth, is more suitable for the zone or zones to which it is pro-
posed to change said property and area and that the inclusion of
said property and area in such new zone or zones will not de-
preciate the values of property in adjoininG zones.

RESOLVED by the City Council of
the property and area situated
of Orange, state of California,

A strip of land 50 feet in width along the
southerly right-of-way line of Ball Road be-
tween South Los Angeles Street and Placentia
Avenue; along the westerly right-of-way line
of Placentia Avenue between Ball Road and
Katella Avenue; along the northerly right-
of-way line of Katella Avenue between Placentia
Avenue and a point 84 feet, more or less, east-
erly from Manchester Avenue; and along the east-
erly right-of-way line of South Los Angeles
Street between Ball Road and a point 1}20 feet,
more or less, south of Cerritos Avenue,
be changed from M-l, LIGHT HAt,mFACTURING ZOI~, to P-L, PARKING-
LANDSCAPING ZONE, the Landscaping Zone to be twenty (20) feet
from the property line, and the building setback line to be
fifty (50) feet from the property line. .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the C'Lty Attorney be, and
he is hereby, authorized and directed to prepare and submit to
the City Council an amendment to Article IX, Chapter 2 of the
Anaheim Municipal Code to amend said Anaheim Municipal Code to
accomplish the object herein found and determined to be neoessary
anQ proper.
THE FOREGGIlW RESOLUTION is signed and approved by me
