A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM ORDERING THE VACATION AND
ABANDONMENT OF AN EASEMENT FOR ALLEY PUR-
POSES UPON, OVER, ACROSS AND ALONG THE
HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED REAL PROPERTY.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim,
a Municipal Corporation of the State of California, did on the
28th day of February, 1956, pass its Ordinance No. 1049, en-
titled "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DECLARING THE
INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO VACATE AND ABANDON AN EASE-
MENT FOR ALLEY PURPOSES UPON, OVER, ACROSS AND ALONG THE
HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED REAL PROPERTY, AND FIXING A TIME AND
PLACE FOR A HEARING THEREON, AND DIRECTING THE POSTING OF
NOTICES THEREOF AND THE PUBLICATION OF THIS ORDINANCE," where-
by it deolare d its intention to vacate and abandon and close
to publio use an easement for alley purposes upon, over, aoross
and along the following desoribed property situated in the City
of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, to wit:
All that certain real property in the City of Ana-
heim, County of Orange, State of California, being
a portion of that portion of the land of Dreyfus
and others as shown on a map by Wm. Hamel filed for
record in Los Angeles County, a oopy of which is re-
corded on Pages 16), et seq in Book ), entitled "Los
Angeles County Maps," Records of said Orange County,
conveyed to the City of Anaheim by deed recorded in
Book 38, Page 119 of Register of Titles, Records of
said Orange County, described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the Southerly line of West
South Street 60 feet wide, said line being the South-
erly line of that certain strip of land conveyed to
the City of Anaheim by deed reoorded in Book 224,
Page llO of Deeds, Records of said Orange County,
said point being distant along said Southerly line
North 740 221 00" East 8.00 feet from the Easterly
line of the 10.00 foot alley shown on the map of
Tract 11, recorded in Book 9, Page 11 of Miscellan-
eous Maps, Records of said Orange County; thence
South 150 521 17" East, along a line parallel with
said Easterly line and distant Easterly 8.00 feet
therefrom, measured at right angles, 263.00 feet to
the Southerly line of said land conveyed to the City
of Anaheim by said deed reoorded in Book 38, Page 119
of Register of Titles; thence North 740 22' 00" East,
along said last mentioned Southerly line, 0.66 feet;
thence North 150 371 51" West, along the Easterly line
of the land described in the last above mentioned deed,
263.00 feet to the first above mentioned Southerly
linej thence South 740 221 00" West, along said South-
erly line, 1.76 feet to the point of beginning.

AND WHEREAS, the City Council in said Ordinance re-
ferred to a map on file in the Office of the City Clerk for
further particulars as to the proposed vacation, abandonment
and olosing to pUblio use of said easement for a1leypurposes;

WHEREAS, said City Counoil did by said Ordinance fix
the 27th day of Maroh, 1956, at 7:00 o'olock P.M., in the
Council Chamber, in the City Hall of the City of Anaheim as the
time and place for a public hearing on the matter of suoh Vaca-
tion, abandonment and closing to public use of said easement
for alley purposes, for all persons interested in or objecting
to such proposed vacation, abandonment and closing to public
use to appear and show oause, if any they had, why suoh ease-
ment for alley purposes should not be vaoated, abandoned and
closed to public use; and
WHEREAS, said Ordinance was published on the 6th
day of March, 1956, in the Anaheim BUiletin, a newSpaper of
general oirculation, printed, published and ciroulated in the
City of Anaheim, Orange County, California; and
WHEREAS, by said Ordinance said City Counoil directed
that notices of the passage of said Ordinance and of the time
and place of the hearing on the IDa tter of the vaca tion.,_ abandon-
ment and closing to pUblic use of said easement for alley pur-
poses be posted oonspicuously along the lines of said easement,
not more than 300 feet apart, at lease ten (10) days before said
hearing, and that not less than three (3) such notices should
be posted; and
WHEREAS, Calvin J. Bouse did on the 13th day of
March,1956, post conspicuously t~ee suoh notices along the
lines of said easement, which not ces were posted lees than
JOO feet apart, and were posted at least ten (10) days before
said hearing; and
WHEREAS, said City Council did on the 27th day of
March, 1956, at 7:00 olclock P.M., at said City Hall, conduct
a pUblic hearing on the matter of whether said easement for
alley purposes, hereinafter described, should be vaoated, aban-
doned and olosed to public use, and at said hearing did hear
evidence thereon; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds from all evidence
submitted that said easement for alley purposes described in
the Ordinanoe of Intention and hereinafter described, is un-
necessary for present or prospective alley purposes and that
an order vacating and abandoning such easement should be made.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Counoil of
the City of Anaheim:
1. That it finds the recitals hereinabove set forth
in this Resolution to be true;
2. That it finds from all evidence submitted that
said easement for alley purposes described in said Ordinanoe
is unnecessary for present or prospective public purposes;

J. That it does hereby order that said easement for
alley purposes be, and it 1s hereby, vacated, abandoned and
closed to public use;
4. That said easement herein ordered, vacated, aban-
doned and closed to public use is that oertain easement desoribed
in said Ordinance No. 1049 and is more particularly described as
follows:

this Resolution and Order, attested by her under the seal of
the City of Anaheim, to be reoorded in the Office of the County
Recorder of Orange County, California.
