1954-2442A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM OPPOSING THE COLORADO RIVER STORAGE PROJECT AS PROPOSED IN S. 1555 AND H.R. 4449, AND THE FRYING PAN-ARKANSAS PROJECT AS PROPOSED IN S. 964 AND H.R. 236, NOW PENDING IN THE CONGRESS. WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim is vitally dependent on a water supply obtained from the Colorado River, and WHEREAS, the Colorado River Storage Project as proposed in S. 1555 and H. R. 4449 and the Frying Pan Arkansas Project as proposed in S. 964 and H. R. 236, now pending in the Congress, would jeopardize the water rights and the water supply of Anaheim, and WHEREAS, the aforementioned projects would inflict on the taxpayers of this City and the nation an unjustifiable burden. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the enactment of these project bills is against the interest of the City of Anaheim and should be opposed. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Anaheim. respectfully re- quests the representatives of the State of California in the Congress of the United States to oppose the enactment of the above mentioned bills or any similar legislation.
