RESOLUTION NO. 3179
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE OITY
OF ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT A
CHANGE OF ZONE IS NEOESSARY IN OERTAIN AREAS
OF THE CITY AND THAT ARTIOLE IX, CHAPTER 2,Or
THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE SHOULD BE AMENDED
TO ACOOMPLISH SAID CHANGE OF ZONE.
WHEREAS, the Oity Planning Oommission of the Oity of Anaheim
bas heretofore duly passed and adopted a resolution deolaring its
intention to ohange the boundaries of the zone or zones hereinafter
mentioned and described and did fix a time and plaoe for the holding
of a pUblio hearing thereon in the manner and as prescribed in
Artiole IX, Ohapter 2 of the Anaheim Municipal Oode, and did du1y
hold and conduot two public hearings to consider such proposed ohang~
of zone or zones and did reoeive evidence and reports from persons
1nterested therein; and
WHEREAS, within a period of forty (40) days following the
final hearing thereon, the Planning Commission did duly announo~
by formal resolution its findings of faots and,declare its opinions
and reasons for recommending an amendment to said Article IX,
Chapter 2 of the Anaheim Municipal Code to effect the proposed changes
of the boundaries of the zone hereinafter mentioned and desoribed; and
WHEREAS, upon receipt of the report and recommendation of the
City Planning Commission, the City Council did thereupon fix the
2,qth day of February , 19.5_ 6_, as the ti]lle and the Council
Ohambers in the City Hall of the City of Anaheim as the place for
a publio hearing upon said proposed change of zone and did give
notice thereof in the manner and as prOVided in said Article IX,
Ohapter 2 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said pUblio hearing,
the City Counoil did duly hold and conduct such publio hearing and
did give all persons interested therein an opportunity to be heard
and did reoeive evidence and reports and did thereupon consider the
reoommendations of the City Planning Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Counoil does find and determine that the
property and area proposed to be chan~ad from the zone in whioh it
is now situated to a different zone as hereinafter set forth, is more
suitable for the zone or zones to which it is proposed to ohange
said property and area and that the inclusion of said property and
area in such new zone or zones will inorease the Value of said
property and area and will not depreciate the values of property 1n
adjoining zones.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Counoil of the
Oity of Anaheim that all of the property and area situated in the
Oity of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, desoribed
as follows, to wit:

be ohanged from R-l. SINGLE FA!HLY RESIDENTIAL ZONE as follows:
That the four most Northeasterly lots in saiu Tract No. 3006,
being the lots lying nearest and adjacent to the present multiple
dwelling units situated in Traot No. 1142 in the City of Anaheim
to tIre east of said Trect No. 3006, be changed from R-l. SINGLE
FAMILY RESIDENTIAL ZONE to R-3. MULTIPLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL ZONE,
subjeot to the following conditions:

That the old. residence now on the property be removed.

reoord" as required by the C1 ty of Anaheim a:rtd approved
by the City Attorney.
.and that the balance of the lots in said Tract No. 3006 remain
R-l. SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL ZONE.
BE 1'1' FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Attorney be, and he 1s

Obunoi~ an amendment to Artiole IX, Chapter 2 of the Anahe1m Muni-
cipal Oode to amend said Anaheim Munioipal Code to acoomplish tke
obJeot herein found and determined to be neoessary and proper.
