A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF-THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING A LEASE TO BE MADE AND
ENTERED INTO WITH THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC COMPANY
FOR THE LEASING' OF CERTAIN LAND TO BE USED
BY THE CITY OF ANAHEIM FOR THE STORAGE OF PIPE.
WHEREAS, the Southern Pacific Company, a corpora-
tion, is the owner of all that certain land and premises
situated in the 'City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of
California, the location of which is shown enclosed within
red lines on the print of Los Angeles Div'n., Drawing -D-
382, Sheet No. 1, Revised January 20, 1954, attached to and
made a part of a proposed lease this day submitted to the
City Council by the Southern Pacific Company; and
WHEREAS, the Southern Pacific Company has offered
to lease said land and premises to the City for a term of
one year at an annual rental of $300.00, payable in advance;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is neces-
sary to obtain additional space adjoining the City Yard for
the storage of pipe; that the above described premises are
near said City Yard and are suitable, proper and necessary
for use by the City for the storage of such pipe; that the
proposed rental for said land is not out of proportion to the
reasonable rental value thereof; and that said property should
be leased by the City for the storage of pipe;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the lease dated the 27th day of
April, 1954 this day submitted to the City Council for the
leasing of said land and premises hereinabove mentioned to
the City for a term of one (1) year, commencing on the 27th
day of April, 1954 and ending on the 26th day of April, 1955,
at an annual rental of $300.00 per annum, payable in advance,
be, and the same is hereby, approved; and that the Mayor and
the City Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized to execute
said lease for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Treasurer
be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay to the
Southern Pacific Company the sum of $300.00 upon the execution
of said lease, to cover the rental thereon for the term of
said lease.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by
me this 27th day of April, 1 954.

do hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was passed and
adopted at a regular meeting of the city council of the City of
Anaheim, held on the 27th day of April, 1954, by the following vote
of the members thereof:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Pearson, Fry, Schutte and Wisser.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT: COUNCILMAN: Van Wagoner.
AND I FURTHER CERTIFY, that the Mayor of the City of
Anaheim approved and signed said resolution on the 27th day of
April, 1954.
