1954-2383WHEREAS, the City Council has heretofore adopted
an ordinance amending the Anaheim Municipal Code and pro-
viding for the levy and assessment on each lot in new
subdivisions in the City of Anaheim or annexed thereto on
or after March 1, 1954 of the sum of 025.00 for the acquisi-
tion of park sites, playgrounds and recreational facilities
in the City of Anaheim for the purpose of promoting the
safety and welfare of children within the City and keeping
them off the streets; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the funds so
levied, assessed and collected should be deposited in a
special fund and used only for the purposes set forth in
said ordinance, and at such places and in such manner as
authorized and directed by the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
that there be, and there is hereby, established a special
fund for the acquisition of park sites, playgrounds and
recreational facilities, which said fund shall be known and
designated as "The Park Site, Playground and Recreational
Fund"; and that all funds collected and received pursuant
to said ordinance heretofore adopted amending said Anaheim
Municipal Code, shall be deposited in said fund and shall
be used by the City for the purposes specified in said
ordinance as authorized and directed by the City Council.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 13th day of April, 1 954.
