RESOLUTION NO. 23 72
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE ESTABLISHMENT OF FOUR -WAY BOULEVARD
STOP SIGNS AT THE INTERSECTION OF PALM AND
NORTH STREETS.
WHEREAS, Section 465, Subdivision "B," of the
California Vehicle Code provides that local authorities
in their respective jurisdiction shall have authority
to place and maintain, or cause to be placed and main-
tained, such traffic signs as may be necessary to indicate
and to carry out the provisions of the California Vehicle
Code and local traffic ordinances, or to regulate, warn or
guide traffic; and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Municipal Code, Section
3213,- provides that the City Council shall by resolution
determine and designate the character of all official
warning and direction signs and signals; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that to elimi-
nate traffic hazards and promote the safety and welfare
of citizens and residents of the City of Anaheim, four
way boulevard stop signs should be established and
maintained at the intersection of Palm and North Streets,
in the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City
Council of the City of Anaheim that the Chief of Police
be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place
and maintain four -way boulevard stop signs at the inter-
section of Palm and North Streets, in the City of
Anaheim; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the stop signs so
established and maintained shall conform to the regula-
tions of the California Vehicle Code as to size and
design.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved
