1954-2349RESOLUTION NO. 2349 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING SECTION 5 (d) OF RESOLUTION NO. 1836 RELATING TO THE FIXING OF CHARGES FOR THE INSTALLATION OF WATER MAINS AND CONNECTIONS TO BE CHARGED BY THE PUBLIC SERVICE DEPARTMENT FOR WATER FURNISHED TO CONSUMERS AND FOR ALL SERVICES RENDERED IN CONNECTION THEREWITH. WHEREAS, the City Council finds that Section 5 (d) of Resolution No. 1836 fixing installation charges for water installation and rates to be charged by the Public Service Department for water furnished to consumers and for all services rendered in connection therewith is not sufficiently definite to cover all situations arising in the installation of water pipes, mains, and connections and should be made more definite and certain in this respect; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that Section 5 (d) of Resolution No. 1836 of the City of Anaheim be, and the same is hereby, amended to read as follows: SECTION 5. WATER MAIN EXTENSION (d) All water mains installed or extended on streets dedicated or annexed to the City of Anaheim subsequent to January 1, 1950, or on any streets in new subdivisions, shall be paid for by the owners of property abutting such installation or extension. The cost to each property owner, whether served at the time of extension or installation, or at some future time, shall be based upon the total cost of the water ,rain installation or extension completely across the footage of the property abutting the street in which the main is laid. Such cost shall be: For residential property, 6" main $2.00 per front ft. 8" main 2.75 per front ft. For commercial property, 6 i1 main 8" main or larger For industrial property, 6" main 8" main 10" main or larger $2.00 per front ft. 2.75 per front ft. $2.00 per front ft. 2.75 per front ft. 3.75 per front ft. Wherever mains larger than 8 in residential zones, 8" in commercial zones, or 10" in industrial zones are deemed necessary for transmission, the additional cost necessitated by the larger pipe shall be borne by the City of Anaheim. Charges may be made on smaller sized mains, depending upon the requirements of individual tracts. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the above resolution and rates shall become effective immediately upon the adoption of this resolution and shall continue thereafter until changed by the City Council of the City of Anaheim.
