A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE EMPLOYMENT OF A
SPECIAL COUNSEL TO ASSIST THE CITY ATTORNEY
IN THE CASE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM VS. THE
CITY OF BUENA PARK, ET AL.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has commenced an action
in the Superior Court of the State of California, in and for
the County of Orange, entitled "The City of Anaheim, a
Municipal Corporation, Petitioner, vs. The City of Buena Park,
a Municipal Corporation, et al., Respondents," Docket No.
67628; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and deternine
that it is necessary and desirable, and for the best interest
of the City of Anaheim, that special counsel be employed to
assist the City Attorney in the preparation for trial and the
trial of said action;
NOW, ~iEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Counoil
of the City of Anaheim that James E. Walker be, and he is
hereby, employed as special counsel to assist the City Attorney
in the preparation and trial of the action hereinabove men-
tioned, and to render such other assistance in said matter as
the City Attorney may need.
AND BE IT PJRYdEn RESOLVED that said James E.
Walker be paid as compensation ~or said services at the rate
of Twenty Dollars ($20) per hour for the time actually spent
in the preparation for, or the trial of, said action, or for
such other work in connection therewith as may be performed
by him.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by
me this 29th day of February, 1956.
