A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREE-
MENT WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA FOR THE
INSTALLATION OF RADIO TRANSIMMITTING AND RECEIVING
EQUIPMENT IN THE CITY FIRE STATION FOR USE IN
CIVIL DEFENSE.
wHERE'AS, the State of California, office of Civil
Defense has requested permission to install at the State's
sole cost and expense a radio transmitter and receiver,
including antennas at'`-City Fire $tats nn for us in the
State program of civil defense, which equipment is to be
maintained by the city without cost to the State of
California; and
WHEREAS, it is proposed that the said equipment shall
be used exclusively for mutual aid and civil defense during
disaster periods; that said equipment shall riot be diverted
from such purposes except for use during authorized test and
and drill periods; and

WHEREAS, the State of California, office of Civil
Defense has submitted to the City Council an Agreement
covering the installation and use of said radio equipment;
which Agreement should be approved and its execution
authorized by the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
that the State of California, office of Civil Defense, be
and is hereby authorized to install, at the sole cost of the
State of California, a radio transmitter and receiver at the
City Fire Station in the City of Anaheim, to be used ex-
clusively for mutual aid and civil defense dz ng disaster
periods as more particularly set forth in the Agreement
this day submitted to the City Council by the State of
California, office of Civil Defense.
AND, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said Agreement this
day submitted to the City Council by the State of California,
office of Civil Defense, covering the installation, maintain
ance, and operation of said radio transmitting and receiving
equipment be and the same is hereby approved and that the
Mayor and the City Clerk and they are
hereby authorized and directed to execute said Agreement for
and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION was signed and approved by
