A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 2247
FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PUBLIC INTEREST
AND NECESSITY REQUIRED THE CONSTRUCTION ARID
COMPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT,. TO WIT:
BORE AND INSTALL A 26" STEEL CASING ALONG
EAST LA PALMA AVENUE UNDER MANCHESTER AVENUE,
AND APPROVING THE DESIGN. PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS
AND DRAWINGS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF,
AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID PUBLIC
IMPROVEMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SAID PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS, AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE INVITING
SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF,
WORK ORDER NO. 1261.
WHEREAS, heretofore, to wit, on the 22nd day of
September, 1953, the City Council did adopt Resolution No.
2247 finding and determining that public interest and neces-
sity required the construction and completion of a public
improvement, to wit:
Bore and install a twenty -six (26) inch steel
casing along the center line of East La Palma
Avenue under Manchester Avenue, Work Order No.
1261,
and authorizing and directing the City Clerk to publish a
notice inviting sealed proposals for the construction there-
of; and
WHEREAS, upon further consideration the City Council
finds it advisable to rescind said resolution finding and de-
termining that public interest and necessity required the
construction and completion of said public improvement, and
authorizing and directing the City Clerk to publish a notice
inviting sealed proposals for the construction thereof.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that Resolution No. 224 adopted on
the 22nd day of September, 1953, finding and determining that
public interest and necessity required the construction and
completion of a public improvement, to wit: Bore and install
a twenty -six (26) inch steel casing along the center line of
East La Palma Avenue under Manchester Avenue, and authorizing
and directing the City Clerk to publish a notice inviting
sealed proposals for the construction thereof, Work Order No.
1261, be, and the same is hereby, rescinded.
