RESOLUTION NO. 3160
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OOUNCIL O? THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT TO BE HADE AND
ENTERED INTO WITH THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC COM-
PANY FOR A LIC2NSE TO CONSTRUCT, MAINTAIN AND
OPERATE AN ELECTRIC PO~ffiR LINE OVER AND ACROSS
THE PROPEETY AND/On TRi~CKS OF THE SOUTHERN
PACIFIC COI1PAI\TY.
WHEREAS, the Southern Pacif'lc Company, a corpora-
tion, has tendered to the City of Anaheim an agreement, dated
February 8, 1956, granting to the City of Anaheim a license to
construct, mainta:in and operate conductors for transmission of
electrici ty for lighting and/or powel' purposes over and acros s
the proper.ty and/or tracks of Smlthern Pacific Company at or
near West Anaheim, County of Oranse, State of California, in
the location as shown in red upon the print attached to said
a:;reement; and
WHEREAS, the agreement tendered to the City of
Anaheim f'or the granting of said license to the City for the
const~lction of said overhead electric light or power line
crossing was this day submitted to the City Council of the
City of Anaheim for its consideration, and the City Counoil
does rind and determ:ine that it 1rlOuld be for the benefit and
best interest of the City of Anaheim to enter into said agree-
ment, and that the same should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE rf liESGLVED by the City Council
of' the City of Anaheim that the agreement this day submitted
to the City Council, dated the 8th day of February, 1956, to
be executed by the Southern Pacific Company and the City of
Ana;1eim, as Licensee, gran tine; to the City of' Anaheim a
license to construct, maintain, and opel~ate conductors for
transmission of electricity for lighting and/or power purposes
over and across the property and/or tracks of Southern Pacific
Company at or near West Ana-heim, County of Orange, State of'
California, in the location as shmm in red upon the print
attachsd to said agreement dated February 8, 1956 and made a
part thereof, be, and the same is hereby, approved and ac-
cepted.
AND 3E II' ?UHTHER RESOLVED that the Nayor and the
Ci ty Clerk be, and they are h'l'eby, authorized to execute said
a,,;reement for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
