RESOLUTION N0. 2238
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM APPOINTING COUNCILMAN
L. N. WISSER AS A MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE ORANGE COUNTY WATER
DISTRICT, TO SERVE UPON SAID BOARD OF
DIRECTORS AS A REPRESENTATIVE FROM THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, the Orange County Water District Act (Chapter
924 of the Statutes of 1933) relating to the Orange County Water
District was amended by the California Legislature during the
1953 Session, changing the boundaries of said Act and incorporat-
ing in said District the City of Anaheim, and increasing the
number of divisions from seven (7) to ten (10) and providing for
an increase in the number of the directors of said District from
seven (7) to ten (10), and providing that a director shall be
appointed from each of the three additional divisions created by
the amendment to said Act, and designated as the 8th, 9th and
10th Divisions; and
WHEREAS, said Act as amended provides that Division
No. 9 shall comprise all that area included within the exterior
boundary of the aforesaid Orange County Water District that is
located within the boundaries of the municipal corporation known
as "the City of Anaheim," as it existed at 12:00 o'clock, Noon,
March 6, 1953 or as it may hereafter exist; and
WHEREAS, said Act as amended will become effective on
the lath day of September, 1953, and that it is necessary to
appoint someone to serve as a member of the Board of Directors
of said Orange County Water District to represent the 9th
Division; that said Act as amended provides that the members of
the Board of Directors from the 8th, 9th and 10th Divisions
shall be appointed by the governing body of the City comprising
each such division within sixty (60) days after the amendment
to said Act shall take effect;
NOW, THEREFOR;, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that Councilman L. N. Wieser be, and he is
hereby, appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of the
Orange County Water District to serve upon said Board of
Directors as the representative thereon from the 9th Division,
and that he shall serve as a member of said Board of Directors
during the pleasure of the City Council of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by me
this 8th day of September, 1953.

NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Heying.
AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor of the City of Anaheim
