56R-3151 RESOLUTION NO. 3151 ",.,..... A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM TERMINATING ALL PROCEEDINGS FOR THE AN- NEXATION OF THAT CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DESCRIBED AS THE BALL-DALE ANNEXA- TION. WHEREAS, heretofore, to wit, on the 16th day of Nov- ember, 1955, the City Council did reoeive a written request from the proponents of the Ball-Dale Annexation requesting oon- sent to commence proceedings for the annexation of said terri- tory to the City of Anaheim, more particularly desoribed and set forth in said written request on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim; and WHEREAS, the City Council did thereupon refer said request to the City Planning Commission for a reoommendation and report; and WHEREAS, on the 16th day of November, 1955, the City Planning Commission did act upon said request and did thereupon recommend to the City Council that the proposed Ball-Dale Annex- a.tion be oonsidered for annexa.tion to the City of Anaheim; and WHEREAS, on the 16th day of November, 1955, the City Counoil did adopt Resolution No. 3005 oonsenting to the oommence- ment of proceedings for the annexation of said inhabited terri- tory to the City of Anaheim; and WHEREAS, on the 17th day of November, 1955, the pro- ponents requesting said annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim did publish a Notice of Intention to Circulate a Pe- tition for the annexation thereof to said City in the Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper printed and published in the City of Ana- heim; and WHEREAS, on the 17th day of November, 1955, the City Council did adopt Resolution No. 3006 acknowledging reoeipt of a copy of the Notice of Intention to Circulate a Petition for the Annexation of said territory described in said notice to the City of Anane im; and WHEREAS, no petition for the annexation of said terri- tory to the City of Anaheim has been received by the City Coun- oil; and -~ WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that it would be to the advantage of the City of Anaheim and for the best interests of the electors and property owners within the territory designated as the Ball-Dale Annexation that said annex- ation proceedings be terminated. NOW, THEHEFOP~, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that all proceedings for the annexation of that certain terl'itory known and designated as the Ball-Dale Annexation to the City of Ana.heim be, and the same are hereby terminated.
