1953-2155RESOLUTION NO. 2155 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM ATJTHORIZING TINS EMPLOYMENT OF CLARENCE A. WINDER TO ASSIST THE CITY AS AN INTP:PIESTED PARTY OR IN OPPOSING THE APPLICA- TION OF THE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON COMPANY FOR AN INCREASE IN RATES. 53 WHEREAS, the Southern California Edison Company has filed Application No. 33952 with the Public Utilities Commission of the State of California for a statewide increase in utility rates; and WHEREAS, the City has entered an appearance in said pro- ceedings as an interested party, and the City Council finds and determines that it would be to the advantage and for the best interest of the City to employ someone familiar with rate structures and proceedings in rate hearings before the Public Utilities Com- mission, to assist the City in presenting any evidence or informa- tion which it may desire to present at the hearing upon said application or in opposing such application; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that Clarence A. Winder is qualified to make a study of rate structures and is familiar with the methods of assemblying and presenting facts and information relative to rates and utility services and that it would be to the advantage and the best interest of the City to employ said Clarence A. Winder. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM that Clarence A. Winder be, and he is hereby, employed to assist the City in all proceedings pertaining to Application No. 33952 filed by the Southern California Edison Company with the Public Utilities Commission of the State of Cali- fornia for a statewide increase in rates and to make studies of rates and rate structures pertaining to said Application and to assemble facts and information and attend hearings upon said Application as directed by the City and to do and perform such other acts and things in connection with said Application as may be required of him by the City. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the said Clarence A. Winder be paid as compensation for his services the sum of $100.00 per day for all time actually spent in the trial or in attending the hearings on said Application and that he be paid the sum of $75.00 per day for all time spent in the actual and necessary studies of rates and rate structures and the assemblying of facts and information for use at the hearing upon said Application and for time spent upon such other matters or things as directed by the City. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that if any other city or cities join with the City of Anaheim in appearing as an interested party or in opposing said Application that the compensation of the said Clarence A. Winder be shared by them in proportion to the services rendered to each of said cities joining together in said proceedings.
