RESOLUTION NO. 3143

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A BOULEVARD STOP SIGN
ON FRONTAGE ROAD AS IT ENTERS MIDWAY DRIVE.
WHEREAS, Section 465, Subdivision uBu, of the
California Vehicle Code provides that local authorities, in
their respective jurisdiction, shall have authority to plaoe
and maintain, or oause to be plaoed and maintained, such
traffic signs as may be necessary to indicate and carry out
the provisions of the California Vehicle Code and looal
traffic ordinanoes, or to regulate, warn or guide traffio;
and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Municipal Code, Section 3213,
provides that the City Counoil shall, by resolution, determine
and designate the oharacter of all offioial warning and direc-
tion signs and signals; and
WHEREAS, The City Counoil finds that to eliminate
traffio hazards and promote the safety and welfare of oitizens
and residents of the City of Anaheim, a boulevard stop sign
should be established and maintained on Frontage Road as it
enters Midway Drive in the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the Chief of Police be, and he is
hereby, authorized and directed to place and maintain a boule-
vard stop sign on Frontage Road as it enters Midway Drive in
the City of Anaheim; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the stop sign so estab-
lished and maintained shall conform to the regulations of
the California Vehicle Code as to size and design.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by
me this 14th day of February, 1956.
